I know this has been brought up before but I want to know what the status is...

As a former Master Pistoleer, I enjoyed the examine window and the large choice of damageI could deal.

I finally became discouraged with the lack of damage output against high-end mobs and dropped Pistoleer for Master Rifleman.

Several months later, the CU arrives!

I still enjoy being a Master Ranger/Master Rifleman, butI do sorely miss the amount of info that was available to us with the Examine window.

And what is the deal with essentially 2 damage types (Energy and Kinetic)!?! It seems to me that's all we need since we can't see creature resists anymore and Armor now is essentially Energy and/or Kinetic resist (Elemental damage seems worthless due to the minimal amount of damage contribution it does).

I love being a Master Ranger (how ever useless it may be), and everytime I think about dropping Ranger for something else, I just can't do it. I hope they do us Justice when our Revamp rolls around...

We don't know what the status is.

All we've heard from Owen who heard from a Dev is that "the resistances were still there, but we just weren't able to see them."

They will never ever ever post on these forums themselves. Instead, they use Owen as a go between to avoid it. Oh well, at least he's a better negotiator than us .

Yeah the resists are still there are the fact we couldnt see them was apparently a bug. Ill try get some more updates on it.

"Special attacks have been broken with the new AI code and will be fixed as soon as possible.

The resists are still there, but the examine info was broken when we changed the armor system. This is also on the list of fixes being worked on"

I also asked for an update on this from Shadow and he basically repeated that comment that it is a known bug and is being worked on.

I would not be at all suprised if you could soon be able to lootsomething like this. Doing so would grant even a novice entertainer the ability to view all information about a mob.

I still don't know why they keep waiting. They posted "we changed the peko peko ablatross resistances," but failed to mention that no one would ever be able to learn what they were originally due to this neglect of a very simple bug. The armorsmiths brought attention to a bug that was not displaying the resistances that pre-CU segments had, but were not showing. This response of "they exist but aren't being shown" is what they are fixing when they brought servers down today, but nooooo not Ranger too!
