Thread: Rifle mods for rangers
It's good to see to other professions are at least thinking about us.
I didn't entirely read your post the first time, it's still a good idea, but the mods would have to be more along the lines of "general melee accuracy/speed" and "general ranged accuracy/speed".

What he said we should only get general mods so no Ranger is left out.
I do at times find myself wishing we had some specials for both ranged an melee though. I'm not exactly sure where we'd put them in the branches to keep them somewhat equally desireable.
I suppose ranged specials could be put in the camo line for a stalking hunter feel.
Melee... I dunno, maybe trapping line to have a special that could help making Rescue skill I'd use once in a while rather than never. Granted I'd have to be grouped rather than solo like I am at most times but it'd be a really nice possibility to consider. Traps generate enough "hate" as it is and I'd like to feel like we have Rescue for a reason. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
An odd way to look at it, but if we were to get good range/aim/defense bonuses, wouldn't the power class of choice be ranger instead of bounty hunter? Do we want 10,000 more rangers just because they want to be 'powerful'? I may be a respec mrifle/mranger, but it's what fits my personality and I love it. The profession as a whole is welcoming, accepts the fact that every class is bugged and doesn't complain about it heavily, and refuses to hang up their hat because of the ethos of being a ranger. I'd like to see some offense/defense bonuses be built into the class (who wouldn't), but if I can solo a nest of kimogila's already (one at a time of course) and don't bother with armor now, I'd rather see some traps added in (instead of just our 'grenades') and other ranger abilities.
