Thread: /Conceal Command At Master Ranger Level: How Well Does It Work?

I am thinking of Maskscent, specifically, which seems to break on every aggressive mob I run across. Does /conceal really work well at the Master Ranger level? How often does it break, and how long does it last if it doesn't break?

Also, on that note, does anybody know if /coneal works in any way or conjunction with the Rifleman's /cover ability?
I think it sounds like a fun pair, but I'm wondering if the two abilities work hand in hand, and augment each other in some way (especially now that /cover is supposed to be fixed).

I can't fully answer your question because I'm not a master (4/0/3/4 or something like that - zero camping, 3 trapping.) But, for what it's worth...
- At Wayfaring 4 I've always found camo kit concealment to work really well. When it doesn't break it lasts a LOT longer than /maskscent, and with a high camoflauge skill it breaks less. And it often works against NPCs. But like a lot of abilities in this game, it goes through periodic "always fail" phases that last about a minute.
- There is no mechanic between /conceal and /concealShot, BUT....
- Making ranged attacks against animals while masked/concealed DOES seem to buy you about as much time before they charge you as /concealShot does. I'm still working out the situations where you get those few free shots. /concealShot from /cover is one, prone at 65 meters is another, prone and camoflauged seems to be another.
Assuming mask/camo doesn't break, it does of course guarantee you get the first attack in.

It depends on how broken camouflage is at the moment....just as with maskscent really, SOE keeps more or less breaking it every second patch or so. Currently it is terrible, you're spotted all the time by whatever creature or NPC that happens to be resonably close. There was a period when it worked very well but that was a long time ago.
