I have several questions for you cool guys

1. I hear Rangers being able to take on or hunt "Big Game". Are Rangers able to take down high level enemies or creatures? They don't seem to be a combat profession, how can they take down high level stuff?

2. People say Rangers are hired to do quests and stuff. Again, what makes Rangers able to be hired to do quests? What makes them so special? (Don't mean to sound offensive)

3. Can you actually track any player in the game?

4. Do you make good money as a Ranger? Doing what? Selling what?

5. Can someone explain Camo Kits? Are they re-useable? Expensive to make? Complex? What exactly do you do and how do you use them?

6. What are some good Ranger templates you guys have used?

Thanks again for your time

3. Can you actually track any player in the game? Yes

4. Do you make good money as a Ranger? Doing what? Selling what?Yes, I do. I charge 50k per track (that is one creature, player, or npc) and I only get resources that I can get 60pcu for.

5. Can someone explain Camo Kits? Are they re-useable? Expensive to make? Complex? What exactly do you do and how do you use them?they will hide you much better from creatures than maskscense. Some copmonents are harder to find than others like corelia for example, the avian.

6. What are some good Ranger templates you guys have used?I feel my ranger template is the best for combat.

Thanks again for your time

1. Right now, Rangers can take down any creature in the game solo - including Krayts. But that's due to a bugged trap at the moment. This may have already been fixed with this publish, haven't had a chance to try yet.

2.Rangers are often hired to help with the Hero of Tatooine Quests, to help track the random spawns.

3. You can track any player in the game, as long as he is standing within 500m of you.

4. Ranger is probably the easiest profession in the game to make money on. Just hunt and gather resources, then sell them to crafters. Collect a 100k stack of decent bone, meat or hide and sell it for 25cpu - you just 2.5 million credits.

5. Camo kits are craftable only by Rangers. Each kit carries a certain number of charges - much like stimpacks. Each time you use a kit, you lose a charge. Basically, you just need to gather up specific resources from the planet you are wanting to make a kit for. For example, a Dantooine camo kit requires 45 Dant herb meat and 40 Dant scaly hide. You can then take those camo kits and use them on yourself if you need to for some strange reason, or better yet sell or distribute them to other players in the game that need them.

6. Ranger/Rifleman has always been what I used, and I enjoy it. Just go with whatever suits your playstyle, and whatever you enjoy the most.

Not a chance, you cant put out enough dmg to take one solo unless rifleman outpowers MBH. I have a sliced proton carbine that has a 1100 max dmg with 500 dps and I cant even hardly dent a krayt.

It would make sense to be the best hunters but sadly we are not. We are just the best harvesters. Will that change in the Ranger revamp? Maybe. Hopefully.

2. People say Rangers are hired to do quests and stuff. Again, what makes Rangers able to be hired to do quests? What makes them so special? (Don't mean to sound offensive) Area track, we can track anything for ya. This is especially good for the Tatooine Hero quests and the Jedi trials.

3. Can you actually track any player in the game? Yes. Ifthey arewithin your range. Range is dependent on how far up the tracking tree you are - I forget what the exact range is when you get the ability to track players - 500m?

4. Do you make good money as a Ranger? Doing what? Selling what?Yes, I do. I charge 50k per track (that is one creature, player, or npc) and I only get resources that I can get 60pcu for.

Some copmonents are harder to find than others like corelia for example, the avian. /agree They are a consumable kit that requires some organic resources from the specific planet to make. For example, if you you want to make a Dathomir kit you must use a type of resource specific to Dath. I forget which one it is at the moment though - Dath carnivore meat? Leathery hide? They will occasionally hide you from NPCs including faction NPCs.

6. What are some good Ranger templates you guys have used?I feel my ranger template is the best for combat. Currently I am a Ranger/Creature Handler. Pre-CU I was a Ranger/Rifleman/Creature Handler and that worked quite well.

I soloed 9 krayts last weekend using traps and a T-21. 4 Adolescents, 3 grands and 2 ancients. Was slow, but it worked.

Also, we can only track what is within 500 meters of our location at the time that we use the /areatrack ability.

Bottom line is we are not real powerful but that is not really the point of being a ranger is it. Lets say you go all combat, are you really gonna have fun with it? I know I wouldnt. Ranger adds alot of content and satifaction for me at least. I feel great when I get a job to find something and I give him a tell and say hey bud, I found it. They nearly want to kiss your feet they are so happy.

Wish you were on my server, the only thing I could solo were juvies. The grand just healed faster than I was dishing out the dmg.
