Thread: I've got no ranged weapons...Can I have a creature To-hit bonus?
As a Trandoshan (who is naturally persuing the TKA line) this is one of my biggest ranger issues. Trandoshans are commonly rangers (so says the racial description). Trandoshans have a rich history of fighting unarmed, which would mean they most likely hunt unarmed as well.
Certainly we think of hunting from a gun-centric perspective (we are all humans), but an alien race with the genetic compostion of a natural hunter, who's to say they are not better hunters with their hands. How does a lion hunt? I'd also like to point out that much hunting in primitive cultures was done with spears. Surely a trained spearman improves with time by knowing where to strike?
I think this issue is important enough to make the 'Top 5'. There are not a lot of melee rangers but you can guarantee we'll never have any if this is not changed.
I guess I should check the description, I have been unarmed since I started, currently Novice Teras Kasi, Novice Ranger, and Novice Creature Handler. I just assumed the to-hit bonus applied to all attacks.
Part of the reason I took Ranger is for this bonus. I hope it gets added to unarmed attacks soon
FYI, the Creature-To-Hit bonus working with brawling skills was on the first week's list. It was burried in the notes for Field Bio-Science.

Does that mean it's fixed, to-be-fixed, or they're not going to change it though?
Do you have a link for me, baby?!?
I would like to see this change, but c'mon in reality how many attacks are we all missing anyway? At least for me, I virtually never miss
LOL - try playing a swordsman. I miss about 60-75% of the time...
