I am finishing out the last thousand of my camping XP's for master ranger. I went to check on the status of my High Quality Camp. I clicked on the datapad to bring up the radial dial on the camp. I get an extra option of 'pick up' onto of Examine, Camp status and Disband Camp. Does anyone know what is up?

whaaa? didn't see that, but I'll actively look for it. I got 930 exp last night at "termination" of my nightly power camp last night in stead of the usuall 1100. **edit**?

I don't know for sure, but I'm willin g to speculate

I suspect that you can pick up your camp and it goes back into icon form in your inventory. No XP for it at that time. You can continue to reuse it until it reaches max XP and auto-disbands on ya.

I'll check it out at lunch today to see if my guess is correct.

It basically makes the terminal for your camp portable, when you 'pick up" the terminal goes in your backpack, which allows you to use the terminal from your backpack. Once in your backpack, you get a destroy option in place of the pick up function which deletes the terminal, but your camp stays. So you basically lose control of the camp, you still get exp once it has been abandoned for long enough.The only thing this does that I can see is it allows you to disband/check the status of your camp without staying there. Which would only beof value for Ranger level camps,sincepeople might stay in the your camp without you in it.

Not all that useful, possibly more to come, that would make this small feature more valuable. Such as make the higher level camps more usefull to others!

you can actually pick up the chairs in the camps as well. this is weird.

I like the idea of picking up a camp...I am guessing it will be useful to always get the full XP from it..So if I need it for myself for 15 minutes I dont need to waist it and only get 100 XP..If this is the case..this is useful.

I have no clue what Picking up a chair would do for us though...that one is not sinking in yet..unless we can place more chairs in the camps as well...something that will give everyone that joins the camp a spot to sit maybe???

I think that something is really messed up.

I get the option to drop items in clone centers now.. not sure about other places. So either some areas are being treated like homes. (IE you can drop/pick things up that belong to you), or we can all now become litter-bugs.

If the idea here was to be able to pick up the camp completely and store it, then use it later so you could get max xp off every camp, it's bugged or not all there yet. I explain what it currently does in my previous post.

It sounds like its just bugged right now - and people can pick up camp items they shouldn't be able to. Cant get in game for another few hours to check it out myself..

Also, other people can pick up your stuff in the camp. They took my chairs , don't let them take your camp console tho(esp. if you have a high tech field base).

The only thing this adds is griefing potential. You can't drop the items, so it doesn't help with repositioning them. You can't use them for anything, since they vanish from inventories when the camp is broken down. You can stop the ranger from breaking down their camp by stealing their terminal, and sitting in the camp. I don't know if it possible to trade them, if soyou could use them to scam money from people too. It's pretty poor.

it's nothign. Just the terminal and chairs are treated as regular furniture now. Picking them up stores them. If they're gone then just wait until it's out of use and it will go away itself when you're not there, awarding you with the xp>

I picked up master scout today and I'm aiming for ranger, but I also noticed that you can pick up the camp terminal in the scout level camps, so it's not just a ranger thing.
