Speaking of which, anyone know a macro command for campsites?

I'm pretty sure that you cannot buy wsxp with faction points at the moment. I haven't tried it myself but this has been reported on these forums several times. Sorry.

I havent been ingame to try it.. but I did it with combat xp.. I traded 15k faction for 5k Combat xp..=)

You must not be a human character and you're selling them to the empire...for humans the empire gives a 1:1 ratio and the rebs give that same ratio to everyone. (i.e. 15k fp =15k xp)

The only skill related to ranger that can be bought from a recruiter is scout xp... Last I checked which was 15 days ago. I wouldnt waste my faction xp on survival skill anyway. I am already way up there with ranger camps and until they do something with em... well lets just say I only make improveds.

Fates, here is the macro i use for camping and surveying. Just drag 12 camps into your hotbar and comeback 12hrs later. Heres the catch though, you might need to doctor up the times because I have found that the times are very dependant on your computer speeds. 3600 does not equal 1hr, at least is doesnt on my computer. Maybe its different for you. But anyway, try it out and see how you like it...

You can use 2 or more macros simultaneously, which simplifies that gigantic sample above.


Sample macro:
/stand; /sample; /pause 5; /sit; /pause 45; /ui action toolbarSlot13;


Camp macro (12 lines, one for each camp):
/stand; /ui action toolbarSlot00; /pause 3200;
/stand; /ui action toolbarSlot01; /pause 3200;
...
/stand; /ui action toolbarSlot11; /pause 3200;



Now make 12 improved camps (best scout type that has 3 tents) and put them on 12 slots. Pull down the tool bar to get second row and put camp macro on the first, and sample on the second. Take a sample manually of the resource you're interested in first, than cancel out of sample mode. Now just execute both macros. Note the sample macro MUST be in slot 14, or it won't repeat itself.

This ONLY GOES FOR FACTION MEMBERS. Okay, I can get faciton like it's nothing..per clearing of the giant static base types I get 1100ish faction.

Now at a recruiter.. 3 faction = 1 combat xp or survival xp or whatever..

So it's potentially a very nice boost to your survival xp if you go out and just do faction missions and spend the points on survival xp (Or combat xp) rather than the useless perks atm(Perma die pets = useless =P)

The camp macro can be shorter than that, even.

And that's it. Put the macro in the first slot in the row (Slot00), and fill the remaining 11 with camps. Every five minutes, the macro will try to set up all your camps. If your camp is still up, all attempts will fail and it will wait another five minutes before calling itself again. If in the last five minutes your camp expired, it will successfully set up the first camp that it finds in the row, fail on the rest, and wait another five minutes.

I didn't come up with this; credit goes to some other ranger who posted it in another thread, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten at this point.

Tthat is the best macro I've seen yet. Especially since there is no guessing about how long until the camp disbands itself.

do you have to use your first bank of hotkeys to do this or can it be in another. if it is in another is it still numbered 01, 02 etc... ?

I believe that the bottom row of hotkeys correspond to toolbarSlot12 through toolbarSlot23, although I haven't tried any macros with those yet.

Yes, the bottom row of bars is 12-23.

Anyone know when the Test patch is going live? If the changes to the scout camps affect our camps also, it could make Survival exp less of a grind.. Notice I did say less..
