personally, here's what i'd wear:
Spec Ops Duster (either green/brown or black/grey
Paramilitary Camos (same colors as duster)
Sturdy Boots or Casual Shoes (Black/Grey)
Leather Gloves (Black)
Muscle Shirt (match pants and jacket, but reverse the primary colors)
Decorative Belt (black, i like the little hook on it, makes it look good for hanging tools on)
Grey Large Headwrap
now with that being said, i normally do wear armor.
Imperial Scout Trooper Armor with Black Mabari Helmet
BH Armor (i'm the shortest Black Sun operative ever)
as you can see by my armor certs, i'm not a Ranger on that toon, but both of these armors are great. and if you're imperial, there's just nothing like riding across Endor in Scout Trooper Armor.
Imperial Officers Slacks
Imperial Ace Jacket
Imperial Officers Boots
Grey Large Headwrap
Special Edition goggles colored white
KYD2 Pistol (i love the sleek look to it. feels almost like an Officer's sidearm)

Thats about what i wear for casual attire except all black/grey. I owe a life debt to my guilds AS for making me a full set of dark green/brown custom camoRIS armour.
Anyone know of an ETA on a fix for harvesting CA's? I hate to watch them just sit unused in my house.

atm my Ranger wears a pair of black pocketed shorts and sandals while hunting anything 'not too dangerous' and a group of seven other folk if it looks like things are going to get stinky.
On TC my ranger wears desert boots, camo pants, bone armour chest plate and an aakuan shirt. I think he's got an aakuan ring (+5 range def) and some CA's tucked into various sockets but it's been so long since I thought about it...
Get to know a good BE....bring him/her presents..and this is what you get.
Mine wears, boots with 3 sockets, forget the CA's in there though
+15 melee def/ranged defense pants..with rifle speed and rifle accuracy CA's. +1's
+15 melee def/+15ranged defense shirt. with a couple of CA's on board
Special ops coat +15melee/+15 ranged defense. and a +1 rifle speed CA
bllack leather gloves, ..more CA's
+15 cammo/ +15 maskscent bandalaro with +1rifle speed CA/
+3 cammo ring
Personal carrying belt(forget the real name) has 3 sockets..one of which is rifle speed.
Then I have armor...only the gloves have CA's. rifle speed.

Since master rager pays so well (not being sarcastic), I just wear my RIS suit with +350 health, 6540 kin/energy protection, which also has ADKs on the 7 pieces that matter.
But that's just me.
