Well some pros of CH/MR is that you can track things before you go to tame them so you dont go to a lair w/o babies....so basically its easier to find the babies...some cons are, CH isnt the best combat prof w/o something else.

Also, CH leaves a lot more skill points which can be used to get novice medic skills.

I'm currently MR/MCH Artisan 0044, and novice merchant ( i think ... it might be Artisan 0040) I like it so far because hunting is not impossible. It's challenging but not impossible. Plus, I am in the process of getting a ranger only hunting hut ready where I plan to sell traps/camps/cammo/ etc.... I'm just regrinding my Tailor to have BE. Architect was way too resource intensive. Like I said it's fun.

As a MCH/Master Ranger, I have to be smart about how I hunt. But, I do just fine.

Smart about what you hunt meaning what? Can you take down the big creatures (krayt, mutant acklay, gorax...big stuff) or not?

I am MRanger / Creature Handler 4444 almost Master block done .. And Medic 0440 and it works fine . I am a Wook with an assault Bowcaster and it helps out in a pinch and to tap lairs .. I have fun with the traps and I use mostlly Bio pets as they are better in a long run.

I have soloed all the way except a few helps thru scout tree. not much on groups . I like riding mounts and hunting from a mission terminal and using camp and sneaking up on things . I can do a CL80 lair in 10 minutes or less . I get 2 missions then do them and log in less than an hour if I am pressed for time .

Like someone said .. You have to becarefull what you hunt and stay within your level range and you will do fine . Pull with Wire trap and then hit with Sonic when they get to you and you get a single Everytime ! . Stay back around 45 meters from mobs and you wont normally get adds . When you do you can either run or pull out your non classification weapon and help pet with heals and blast to finish the one pet is on. Then hit the add with the pet.. if you dont hit add yourself just heal as soon as the pet takes it over you lose agro.

Just a thought and I soloed all the way to CL80 with this method. Fun non grinding and just adventersome! ..
