Avian meat. Why did it have to be avian meat...
From what I have seen, the birdies are rather small across the galaxy. I think the best way to get the good stuff is to keep an eye on swgcraft and an ear out for the good spawns. I hate hunting avian meat, so I won't hunt the stuff unless I know I can get 75-150 cpu for it, and that means OQ and PE in the 800+ range. I don't know what the minimum OQ and PE would be for a doctor to bother with the stuff, so you are in a different situation. Anyway, here are the planets I know about:
Naboo:
kaadu (can't remember the units, but the missions pay 2200 if you want to do it that way)
peko-peko (fat and healthy giants will drop around 80-90 and the regulars 50-60, in my faulty recollection)
Yavin:
choku (20-60 from pup to packmaster, missions pay 3200)
whisper birds(12-40 from hatchling to male, missions pay 2200)
Corellia:
rasps, evil evil rasps (never hunted them) and one other
Dantooine:
nothin'
Dathomir:
reptillian fliers (never hunted them)
That's all I can think of off the top of my head, I'm sure many others will know more. Avian meat doesn't really go fast, not like Dathomirian carnivore meat or some such.

Dathomir for Reptilain Flyers, not to difficult, and a fair amount of harvest. Then the old stand-by Duckies and Pesky Peko's on Naboo (they always seem to hang together).

peko peko albatross on Naboo 90000 HAM/155 CL
giant fynock on Talus 11466 HAM/42 CL
enraged reptilian flier on Dathomir 6500 HAM/27 CL
ancient reptilian flier on Dathomir 5500 HAM/25 CL
giant fynock on Talus 11466 HAM/42 CL
enraged reptilian flier on Dathomir 6500 HAM/27 CL
ancient reptilian flier on Dathomir 5500 HAM/25 CL
reptilian flyers seem to be the sweet spot for time to killvs. harvest.

Aren't these only in caves, thus dropping 1 unit/kill?

As something I haven't really hunted for the most part (I usually stick to hunting on Dantooine), I had a question concerning Avian Meat.
I have a toon going Master Doctor and was planning on taking Vubo (my fighter) somewhere to start hunting Avian Meat. I am not too concerned with which planet is the best as I am just going to try to build up a nice stock of different spawns of Avian meat (i.e. Just hunt on one planet exclusively and keep taking whatever spawns happen to hit there).
So on to my actual question:
Which planet has creatures that drop the largest quantities of Avian Meat? I am mainly looking for the planet where I can gather a large quantity the fastest.
Thanks in advance.

Short of the rare creatures (Peko Peko Albatross) most avian dropping critters are low creature level and therefore low harvests. I reccomend checking swgcreatures.com and doing an advanced search. That will list all of the critters that drop avian meat(sortable by planet even). Remember that the higher the CL, the more resources it drops
. Avian meat is probably the hardest overall meat to acquire as even some of the big birds drop herbivore meat and not avian meat...

At a guess, you'd probably be best off on Dathomir. The reptilian fliers drop avian (I think, although some of the meat types seem odd: Reptilian fliers drop avian whereas Lantern Birds drop herbivore...). They are common enough and drop enough resources that hunting them can be worth it.

Caves do suffer the skinny bug, but if you can draw the beasties outside, they will drop a normal amount. I used this at the Woolamander temple to increase my wooly hide harvest when some good stuff spawned on Yavin.
