Thread: Are we going to get to ask TH another question? If so, could we ask about spawn rates?

Good, good. Poke him with a Gaffi Stick until he gives us an answer

No, I say go for the phec dart. If it sticks, he'll be immobilized long enough to get an answer out of him.
Personally, I'd like to see him after he gets hit by a lecepanine dart. I can just imagine him flopping around. Too bad I can't seem to figure out how to throw one at anything other than a creature

This issue is in regards to walking for very long distances and not running into and random lairs. It seems that Lok was fixed, but Dantooine is a dead planet. I walked for 11,000 meters on Dantooine hoping for something to spawn and only ran into 5 random lairs. Yavin is getting pretty dead too.
It means that there are a lot of people on the planet. The more people there are, the less random spawns there are. These are adjustments the server makes automatically. If you are running shy of random spawns, you should go get a mission. The terminals will spawn additional lairs when this type of loading occurs...

Can you get me the link (I will look, myself, but I am a Ranger, soI can't find anything). I am on new crusade for the ./track skill if this is what TH said...
Nevermind...I just read your other thread....looks like I won't be going to be for a while.

Yeah I just read this - bad news, esp. given that our best hunting grounds are usually in mountainous regions outside of the effective range of any mission terminals, so when the planets population surges, these are the first areas to dry up, and there's nothing we can do to get them spawning again ![]()

Idea for the Spawn Rate & Area Track
as we do an Area Track it forces a spawn (assuming animal/ out side a city) at a % of out combat efficiency. Limit it to once every 5 min for the spawn.
as we already know when getting missions, it bases the missions on our skill. for simplicity sake we'll say we spawn mission dificulty 10.
When we do an /areatrack, it would automatically spawn a lair depending on the the area track ability.
0010 lvl 4 lair (40%of combat ability)
0020 lvl 6 lair (60 % of combat ability)
0030 lvl 8 lair (80%of combat ability)
0040 lvl 10 lair (100% of combat ability)
Master Lvl 12 Lair (120% of combat ability)
we could always area track but the forced spawn would be limited. Must be in a no build zone (far from city), and the forced spawn would be disabled for 5 - 10 min after we do forced spawn. If in a group the percentages should be be halved, concidering the group dif is increasing.
concidering explorer missions are based on combat abilitya high level ranger would be using area track and get the spawn s/he is looking for 1/4 times (I find there are usually only about 4 creatures at any diff), on top of the natural spawns.
