Thread: Camps question

Hey all,

I'm working on grinding out the survival tree (this isn't really a grinding question), but I had a question about tents as I'm using them.

When using camps, high quality camp kit, I have wounds healed. I was curious if this automatic healing of wounds gains the tent XP? For example, lets say that there were 3 people with huge wounds in the camp, will I get more XP than if there were just 3 people in the camp? Another question I had, is if I heal wounds or damage, do I get more survival XP on top of that?

Thanks for any help in this.

You get more survival XP for healing wounds in-camp yes.

However, there is a cap on it. So don't get someone diseased, then cure their wounds until your camp disbands. You won't get 3252233 points of Survival XP.

Generally the way it works is this: if you have wounds to be healed, the survival XP goes up faster...thus 10 minutes in a camp when no one has wounds won't get you the same XP as 10 minutes in a camp when EVERYONE has wounds.

Here's what to do: Call a camp, have someone heal your wounds (or just sit there until they are healed, if no one can). If your wounds are healed quickly chat for a few minutes about strategy/tactics or anything else 5-10 minutes should do the trick.

If you do it this way, your camp should max out the survivalXP cap it has in under 10 minutes.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

What counts toward the camps xp (survival xp) is the number of people, HAM damage healed, and wounds healed.

Current visitors add more XP when the camp is disbanded, rather than the same amount of visitors only passing through. I think the healing element adds a bit more xp than visitors. I've maxed out survival XP in a camp that was only set up for 5 minutes by having my wife there healing my wounds and damage, and having a few visitors with wound/HAM damage healed.

If you allow the camp to self-heal your wounds and damage, it will add XP, but it's pretty slow and you'd need lots of damage and wounds to heal.

(however, if you sit in a camp while diseased, you'll notice the added XP when you disband)

How much XP should I expect to gain with 3 people with wounds? Does this count for pets too?

He is not talking about using wound packs, but instead sitting in the camp, which heals your wounds after a certain time. No medic or anything is needed.

I don't know if heailg wounds ups the xp rate. One thing to make sure you are aware of is, camps cap at a certain xp. The more activity you have in a camp will shorten the time it takes to get that xp (meaning you can make a new camp sooner thatn if you just sit idle), but it will never allow you to go over that cap. I am not sure if this is clear..if it isn't, let me know and I will attempt to clarify .

From my own testing healing did matter. But it was only when you healed a player not a pet.I decided to fiqure it out when i was grinding ranger the second time.

Yeah, healing a player counts as an activity. Passive healing does not and therefore does not accelerate the xp gaining process.

what i thought when i was doing survival that healing and what not didnt count for much. it may have added some xp, but at max it was maybe like 150. i based my xp off of time and people in my camp. i found out that i could max out xp solo in 20 minutes. (not counting that little extra xp for healing) . with one visitor, which stayed there, not a passer by, i could max out in 15 minutes. with 2 it was 10 minutes. with 3 i think it was 8. 4 i think was 6. and so on.
