So here's what I've bee nthinking about:
While I was on hiatus earlier this year, I was playing FF11, and there is an interesting theory floating around that game. In a nutshell, it was that you could gain xp on things that conned easy just as fast as on things that conned very tough, but with a lot less risk.
The question is, then, has anyone noticed anything like that in SWG? I'm wondering if going after anglers that give me 2k+ xp per kill but involve a fairly large amount of risk and a fairly large amount of time (something like 5-10 minutes per kill for me I think), would basically get me the same xp as killing smaller critters that I can kill faster but with less risk. think of it like this:
in theory, would 25 sqalls/10 minutes = 1 angler/10 minutes?
the numbers may not work very well.. they're just hypothetical.
I haven't reallly tried to test this out yet, but I might be interested in finding out what kind of difference hunting tougher critters has on rate of xp.
But then, squalls don't give the meat that has been making me a lot of money lately either, so does it really matter?

Regardless, it's more fun to hunt the biggies. More meat, more XP (per kill) and more fun. No one ever commended a hunter for killing a hundred chipmunks....but take down a grizzly and you've got a story. Same thing in SWG. A good hunt with Ranger pals (Fred, this is you, for the most part heheh) makes for good stories and good times.
Besides don't you get tired of killing the silly sightseeingmobs that hang out by Coronet?

It may be easier/quicker to pick on the small spawns, but the problem comes with finding enough of them to make up for those few harder kills that give more exp. The only place that can keep up the spawn rate you need is the newby areas around the cities, and I have noticed most of them have afk'ers blasting everything within range. Just find a medium exp giving critter and minimize your risk while still getting a decent amount of xp. It is just a balance of risk vs. reward vs. boredom

Kill the small spawns on the way to the large ones and you win both ways.

Lol... other than the 'starport perimeter' spawn, try finding spawn quick enough to keep up with that 40K-80K xp single hurton lair on Lagtooine Dantooine.... 10-15 min's for novice tk/sword/fence/pike to get that xp. I don't it'll work to your advantage.
