Need some input guys... What ranged Profession seems to work best for us guys? Right now I am still rifles but I miss the old days of dropping Rancors quick with the DXR... Guess it is time to adapt

I'm still doing ok as Master Rifleman. As long as I pull targets one at a time I can easily take out stuff at my level. Things get hairy with even a couple level 50s though. P-dart is now even more my friend than it used to be. I'm really hoping we (Rangers) get some general accuracy/defense mods soon though. Wouldn't mind some sort of weapon movement speed mitigation too, would give us at least something others don't have.

Ya. you would think a Ranger would know where to hit a critter to drop it quick. And I am having an issue getting Sniper shot to work. Bar goes up but nothing happens

I went for BH because it needs less skill points. BHgives accuracy and (to a lesser extent) speed bonusestoALL ranged weapons. Also you get ok ranged and melee defence from it.
You get some specials also,a ranged knock down, a blind and a stun which seem to help alot when soloing.
I tend to use whichever weapon has the highest base DPS, but the range on carbines and rifles allows you to get a few extra shots off before the creature gets to you.

I am not on the Game right now but does Master BH have better Defenses then a Master Pistoleer? Any body know right off hand?

Sniper shot is buggy, but one suggestion is that you have to be on level ground for it to work. Also begin with another shot, like head shot and then it seems to kick in and work better.

Doing my last respec tonight and its 50/50 whether I stay master rifles or go master BH.
I guess seeing as JB's been BH for a couple of weeks at least now and doesn't appear to have been lobotomized, I might just go that way for the variety of weaps.
And it'll maybe free up a few SP I guess.
Hmm, we'll see.
decisions, decisions.
