I am cl 27 and atrtacking cl25 mobs. I am using p-darts but only 1 in 20 or so ever work (tried using myself and also have trapper droid). On the rare occasion they do work I only get 250ish Trapping exp
I'm Scout 4344. I've read some of the other messages and se that some advise to respec other scouting skills to increase Trapping? How can you do this when Trapping requires Trapping Exp and the other skills are all Scouting exp?

I don't know if its the new publish, the planet I've been on (Dant) or my astrological signs have not been aligned correctly, or the moon is not in the 7th house, but the last few days, I'm lucky to hit 1 out of 10 traps. I was mostly using P-Darts, but I also tried some L-Darts and some Sonic Pulses to see if it was those particular traps, but it was the same for all. Before Pub 17, it used to be the other way around.
I mean, dang, these are part of our arsenal of weapons, I don't see kneecap shot missing that much!
Grrrr, just ranting, most times I can live with it, but last night I just got majorly bugged (pun intended
) about it. And yes I bugged it, as well, with a nice long missive about this being part of our weapons arsenal etc etc etc.
Server is Eclipse btw, I'm wondering if other Rangers are having trapping probs the last few days as well?

The rate a which a trap will "land" has nothing to do with the trap itself but EVERYTHING to do with your trapping skill and the creature level you're targeting.
You can throw every trap you want all day long at a krayt, but as a novice scout, you won't land one of em. However, as a Master Ranger, you'll find you do quite well. That's where the current problem comes into play - you only really get good xp if your trapping skill level enables you to succesfully trap critters of a similar CL to you. The crux of this is, your trapping level and your CL are completely unrelated.

That's my point as an MR most should stick, but haven't been of late, especially last night. I'm wondering if this is a random thing or if its noticable to other MR's.
I was on missions of my level while this occurred. Does what you mention above occur because of the actual level of these critters and not the mission level? I was aware that if you trapped something that conned grey wouldn't bring much trapping xp.
