Thread: Using Camo from a bike

I recently had my to kill my Master Ranger template in the name of doing FS quests and still had a few dath camo kits and decided I would try em out as I made an attempt at getting my level 57 weakling to the village. I got hit alot and incapped several times, killed on the way back but I made it. What I did notice is that I could camo while riding my bike! I never checked this at Master Ranger and was wondering if anyone at Master could do it. We never could before as I recall.
Perhaps it was lag but also I found that I could camo while my icon was still blinking red from combat. Can anyone check what limits a Master Ranger can do when camoing now? Do it by both the /conceal command and a camo kit from the toolbar.

I know you can't maskscent while on a bike. Or at least you couldn't pre-17. I will check this out. Makes sense tho. They allow Artisans to survey while mounted, and in their weak attempt to pander to them probably will allow anyone to camo while mounted. Although the true masters can't maskscent. Yeah, that makes total sense.

Wow, this is news to me. It must have come in with Pub-17 when they opened it up to the masses. I'll have to test with /mask too... and the camo while in combat thing is strange as well.

You can now camo while in a vehicle or on a mount. You can also camo a passenger in your vehicle.

Yep... /conceal now works when mounted. /maskscent doesn't.
Just proves that nothing is impossible once it leaves the Ranger domain, bleh.

I noticed another thing about camo (I am sure it is a bug), you can camo your group members no matter how far away they are. For the heck of it I carefully applied camo to a group member who was 1500 meters away jamming in the cantina. She was surprised. 
I have not tried it off-planet. I would assume that it would no work since camo is planet specific... but who knows?

Whilst gathering my first round of camo data today i also noticed some other facts about camo.
- Creatures only check for camo at 25m and under (im doing testing to see if we are immune from agro 25m+ using camo or infact creatures can bypass camo and agro us from outside the check radius).
- Camo checks are made every 4minutes after the initial success (when you get the xp).
I was testing this morning for a good few hours and got over 450 data entries but lots more to go hehe.

I also noticed today that you can camo again immediately after it breaks. If you hit the button as soon as it breaks you get a cannot camo again for 65 seconds and then if you try again it takes.

I've never done this before, but... QFE.
However, I have to say, I had a lot of fun racking up Scout XP while on Dathomir during Double XP Week: The Sequel. A line of camo kits in my inventory, a spare swoop, and waypoints to all the bizarre spawns where you have, like, 50 or 100 Nightsister Slaves or spiders or pteradactyls. Camo, ride in, break, keep going, circle back, camo, ride in, break, keep going, circle back... Doing it until I stopped getting XP from the batch (meaning I'd passed a camo'd check from each mob). I was getting a ton of XP doing that and feeling all daredevil. I started to emote /raspberry on my way through. (It also showed just how often camo breaks. Something like every 10-30 checks or so, which when you think about it, is like three wild lairs. GO TEAM RANGER! I should test it with my Artisan.)
