Thread: +20 Throw Distance Cyborg Arm Working for traps?
Well, I have now aquired two of these for a total of +40 to Throw Distance.
Hopefully I can get these equipped over the weekend and give them a spin!

Just get a trapping droid. They can throw form 65m. And they have a better chance of sticking than if you throw them yourself. And they can hold around 40 trap stacks that would normaly fill up your inventory. And that saves you from having to stop shooting and "root" yourself when you throw the trap. And I havea +114one that i no longer use if anyone wants it on chimera. And.... thats all![]()
You sacrifice xp gain by using the droid.
That is true. I only used it when i was master ranger though.

Trapping droid eh? LOL, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a trapping droid.
If P-darts are the majority of traps I toss then using these may be a decent option.
A couple of questions for those of you who use them:
1) Does the droid get aggro'd all the time and run away like harvest droid can? I don't want to have to spam "follow" to keep them in the area I am hunting.
2) When you toss a trap with a droid.....does it "count" as an action and your shots re-cycle? If not this is huge....I can gain 3 or 4 more shots per minute normally spent waiting on trap toss recovery time.
3) Can you load crates of traps right into the droid or do I have to take each one out individually?
4) Does the range really matter? Can't you put the droid on "follow" to the critter your fighting and then get to any range you want? If I use my two +10 distance arms and can fire from 85m....or even my +10 and +5 arms and fire from 80m......can't I have my droid up close to the critter and where I am won't matter? Or does the droid get aggro'd and potentially destroyed?
Thanks for any info. I amtotally in the dark on these. I might have some fun playing with this over the weekend (if I can find one to buy!).
