Inspired by the extremely popular thread on the smuggler forums, "A chuckle for the smuggler," this thread is for funny stories you have about being a ranger. (ROFL in this case is pronounced like a word, not an anacronym)

Mine:

Moron: hi i have a tracking job 4 u

Me: Okay, what do need tracked?

Moron: the bladeback bor

Me: Yes, sir. Since I am having a great day, I'm only going to charge you 50k an hour/

Moron: is that good

Me: Yes...that's very good

Moron: ok thx.

Me: I'll let you know when I've found him. Please stay online.

Moron: ok

So, I go out tracking for the Bladeback boar, and I amazingly find the thing after only 45 minutes. I send him a tell, saying I've located the boar and give him the coordinates.

Moron: ok im there i dont see you

Me: I'm standing right ontop of the waypoint

Moron: i dont see you and im at the waypoint

Me: Are you sure you have the correct one? [I repeat the wp]

Moron: yes

This keeps up for a little while before finally:

Moron: oh. ur on tat

Me: ................................

Do you have any funny stories?

when i mastered ranger i was a talus dweller and grinded on sludge panthers. a jedi wannabe doing his paddy trials where he could find some easy panthers. easiest 300k i ever made. (took mabye 10mins tops)

This happened to me back before the CU....

I was contacted by a Jedi going through trials... looking for Peko Peko Albatrosses (I believe they need 2). So... we settled on a price (something like 250k), and after searching for an hour and a half - the entire northern region of Naboo a couple times over.... none were to be found. The jedi had to log off, so I went back to my house feeling unfulfilled, standing on my front porch for a few minutes (not sure why I always do this... maybe it was a nice sunset), and one spawned right in front of me. (I will omit the language I used directed at the bird along with the /flail command)

Of course.. I had to kill them (it respawned a couple times back then) out of spite. At least I got some feathers to show for it.
