Just curous, does Jawa Beer still give a good boost to either Maskscent and/or Camo?

reason i ask is that Teero, my crafter account, is about to start exploring Master Artisan foods, in the hope that i can sell along with my clothing, powerups, vehicles, and repair tools.

Jawa Beer is an Artisan food, and i know it at least used to give a Mask Scent bonus. does it still do that? if it does, i think it would be a valuable food to Rangers and Scouts.

Yup. Or at least it seems to.

I last used it to get some item off a body just inside the nightspider cult cave and wasn't aggroed until I went and stood right by one of the fugly beasties.

ok, so Jawa Beer will be on my list of stuff to make.

i know Crispic gives General Accuracy, so that'll get made.

i pvp'er on Lowca said Blob Candy is another good food to use, so that'll be another i'll make.

i hear Ruby Biel is good for the medics as it speeds up stim pack usage, so that'll get made as well.

The ruby stuff is good for non medics too - I'm not sure that it is working right (the description says it should last for some duration, but it never seems to), but if you drink one then you can heal right away and the delay until your next heal is only 30 seconds rather than 60 seconds. After that, it wears off (ie., the icon disappears from your state bar) and you have to take another. I've used it to get out of some really tight situations before.

i was talking to someone who explained the Ruby Biel to me. and everything with it is working properly.

Suppose you had some 15 minute ruby biel (i haven't made any yet, so no idea if that time is realistic)

you drink it at 1:15 pm. That means that at 1:30 pm the drink's effect wears off. But, the drink's effect also wears off the first time you heal.

so your best bet is to drink ruby biel, heal, then heal once more in 30 seconds. that's if you're in a real bind.

but you could also drink it at 1:15 pm then use a stim pack at 1:29 pm and it will heal you instantly, and give you the 30 second timer. but if you heal yourself at 1:31 pm then the ruby has worn off, and no longer gives you the short timer.

hopefully this explanation helps a bit.

the Ruby is similar to the Bespine Port and the crafter foods. where once you eat/drink it, you have a set time limit you must use the ability before the chance to use it wears off.

Hey!! Thanks for Reminding me about that stuff. I ordered a few cases from my chef friend before and after the chef revamp and i still have them sitting around some where. Might as well break out the beer.

Actually, you want to heal, then drink ruby biel, then heal, then heal once more in 30 seconds. It seems you can heal immediately after drinking the ruby biel, even if you have just healed.

Just don't ask how it's made, and make sure they strain it well. double-straining is better.
