Hey, I'm a Teras Kasi Master thinking about going for Wayfaring IV... is it true that the bonuses to terrain negotiation let you walk faster than other people ANYWHERE or just on rough terrain like mountains/water/etc?

any terrain negotiation from 0-50 just affects running up slopes and stuff. However the wayfaring line just increases prone speed (50-100). If your already a scout and your a master then your running up hills just as fast as a master ranger, you just crawl slower.

Currently, past Master Scout, the only speed improvement is to crawling. And the speed improvement may be only to hills but hills are almost everywhere. If you are only picking up scout skills for movement speed, you probably don't need more than exploration 4. If you are interested in the other skills, then go ahead and get ranger. It really does help you move around on planets like Endor and Lok, covered with so many reds.
