Hi,

I was thinking on getting the Wayfaring branch of the ranger profession, but first I must know if its good; and what is the strongest mob you can maskscent from(not necessarily always, but at least a single success in 20 tries..hehe)

I burst ran past 5 Dragonets with MS and got alot of xp and it didnt break the MS.... BURST ran ...so thats pretty good.......thats at wayfaring 2 level

I myself am a Wayfarer, and have been for sometime now, and wear the title proudly. I enjoy the Wayfaring skills very much. As a Bothan, I currently have +105 Camouflage, which is as good as it sounds. I can pass by just about everything except Kimogilas/Krayts/Rancors and such creatures without worry. I can even go stand face to face with a few reds and nothing happens. Really helps with my planet exploring.

I"m a wookie wayfarer. I can usually sit in within 40 meteres of a dragonet lair and take em on with my pet with mask scent holding strong, sometimes it'll actually hold for an entire lair of close to it. I'll tell you one thing that'll help you out. I am not afraid to run through almost any lair, and that's without burst run, I successfully masked scent from 2 krayts by wayfar the other day for quite a while before i decided i was pushing my luck and walked away. So i'm pretty **edit** happy with it. On the other hand, sometimes i'll be walking past some low ass level non-aggro mobs and it'll brake. Overall, i love it, if we had something to camo ourselves from NPC's i would venture out to anywhere and everywhere :_)

I dunno, maybe I'm not having good experiences, but as a Bothan Wayfarer with 105 camo (110 if I put on my fickle +camo clothes), I still get detected all the time. Even by yellows. :\ It's really irritating.

Just so you know, the +5 camo clothes you mentioend don't actually work. All fo the bio-engineers found out that all fo the skill enhancers are fubar. However once it's fixed I have a +25 scent camo outfit in the cupboard that will push me up to 130 once i get Wayfarer Once they fix the scent neutralising components to not use non-existant materials then you can get even more powerful skill enhancing clothing. Look at what does work from tissues 4 i'd say you can make a +50 outfit.

Yea I am really happy with wayfaring except for the fact you cant camo yourself against npcs and pcs but other then that I really enjoy when i want to just get somewhere i dont have to worry about having to stop to battle anything. One thing that boogled my mind was how does the non aggressive creatures detect us when the aggressive creatures dont. And if you get a shirt that you can use mods on you can also get mods to help your bonuses in camouflage, which also helps alot.
