Ranger Archive

I was in the SWG beta test, but until just recently could not spare the expense. Now I've started a character, and as I always end up doing I'm going to wip the slate clean and start over. I've done quite a bit of research into the Marksman, Rifleman, and Carbineer professsions and found those forums to be honestly productive. Both in sharing information and also working to better the overall use/enjoyment of the professions. As I begin researching the Ranger profession(I'm considering Master Cardineer / Ranger for some unfathomable reason) I've noticed that the Ranger forum lacks the productivity I've found in the other professions' respective forums. I'm unable to find any threads/posts from the Ranger Dev or the Ranger Correspondent that in any way give me the impression that the developers or correspondents are listening to the pleas or suggestions of those choosing the Ranger Profession. I certainly can't find any posts showing any kind of progress within the Ranger profession. While researching the Ranger profession I have come across countless valid complaints and even more incredibly ingenius solutions and/or improvements to the Ranger Profession. I hope that someone out there in the Dev Team is listening.

If I am mistaken as to my assumptions, please correct me. I would like to be directed to any threads/posts I might have missed that discount my previous ramblings.

Okay so after reading hundreds of posts in the first few pages. I make this thread, refresh the forums, and Bam! There's the feedback update I was looking for.

That is ok, you were just busy (an unfinished galaxies profession) and needed to refresh (get patched). It happens to us all once in a while. I say we all give the devs a break. They are working very hard and everything will get fixed within the next month or two. It is not like this game has been out for years and these problems have affected millions of people for a long period of time.

I know what you mean, I've been checking the In development page frequently (now the In Testing page) and it always makes me sad to see nothing is being changed or added to the ranger class. Only thing I found was that they're fixing the High Tech Field Base so it actually heals now. This was listed under scout changes.

I know the devs have alot of work to do with the more "popular" classes, I think in another month the ranger class will be addressed. :/

I'm a Ranger / Rifleman, and it's been my experience that the Ranger boards are, for the most part, mature, well though out discussions. Now take a trip over to the Rifleman area, and it's NOOB this, and Idiot that, and you're a homo cause you like Laser Rifle. The Rifleman correspondent pales in comparison to the Ranger correspondent, and I've seen more than one occasion where the Rifle guy degenerates into the "dood" trash talking that plagues most of the other profession boards. I'm proud to be a Ranger, and a lot of that pride comes from the fact that we've got a great community here of, for the most part, well articulated, and mature players. Keep up the good work my fellow rangers!

Crash , you'll like it here , trust me . This is my favorite forum . The correspondent kicks ass , too. Changes for the better are on the way , thanks in part to the constructive discussions from us and the hard work from the corr.
