Thread: How Can a Ranger/CH make money
Just wondering how a ranger with the other class of MCH make money? I know missions. I was just wondering how a Ranger can make a living with the skills that it has. I'm working toward master ranger, almost there, just need Frontiering 3 and 4. But i need to make a living also. thanks

Hm....maybe use your tracking skills to find baby creatures in the wild to tame, then advertise them for sale. You could also offer to find certain baby creatures for a fee. Or in the Krayt Graveyard, I was once offered money to find a dragon, maybe you could do the same.

Groups love having a Ranger for a Kryat hunt. Especially now that, after the patch, they spawn all over the place. (Tracked em 800m outside of Takie other day). Charge for your time, plus you can normally get tips. Quite a few players out there consider me their "lucky Ranger" as I have yet to be on a hunt, and not find several spawn for them.
Only problem is, I HATE UBER GROUPS. So **edit** sick and tired of these 20 player groups leaving a trail of dead bodeis 20m wide to the graveyard, then whine festing it with the 3 other 20 person groups already camped out there.
Which brings up yet another reason for a Ranger on a Kryat hunt. Doyou want to be the group camping out for an hour, waiting for a spawn, or the group that has a tracker out and about finding spawn sites?
This profession is not about getting rich, unless you band togeather. I have a store where any Ranger can come and drop their harv's off at, 5cpu guarenteed. I sell the combined Harvests for a bit extra than that. I also sell crates of our suplies cause, lets face it, a lot of us hate freaking crafting.

Is this a serious question? Unbelievable if you ask me. You should be making more than any master WS, AS, or Architect. This combo is amazing. I have over 3 million credits thanks to being a CH and ranger. Track for animals much quicker then sell them. Everyone buys. Thers 20k or so per pet you train. You can sure as hell solo 20k missions on dath being master ch. Come on your a ranger take missions on dath for 20k gather resources for each pet. In an hour i got 5k of 999OQ meat, hide, and bone off of one type of pet. While making money form the missions. Then sold it all. I m a rich **edit** and this is definitley the way to do it.

harvest TONS of the best herbivore/avian meat you can find and sell it to doctors..
I'll pay you 15 cpu for the current corellian herbivore meat if you can bring more than 1k at a time.
The bounty hunter had the tracking line and I am a full blooded ranger. He and I posted 450 meters apart and tracked. We found krayts everywhere. The only thing I asked for was some tissue. Thats it. I then sell this tissue to weaponsmiths.
I hunt all the time and i go on expeditions to find babies.
When my bank dips below 250k, I go and i do those 25k missions with a big group. another 100k in an hour.
I dont get much xp, but I make enough to tip well and make good friends.
my buddy list is a mile long and before i even enter the world i have 5 tells asking me to hunt with them. Although I can hunt alone, I almost never do. This is the best way to make money....get a good hunting group, find the best resources, kill gobs of them....and sell the meat while you make money on the missions.
I make my living off the following items:
Dathomier Insect meat - sell to BE
Dathomier leather - sell to Master Archetects
Endor wooly hide - Sell to Master Archetects
High quality Herb meat, Scaley hide, Wooly Hide, Avian bone, and All meat with high PE and OQ. - sell on bazzar for several proffesions.
It is easy to make 7-10 cr per unit for these items, and make sure your pet is not grouped if you are harvesting solo, you will get more per harvest.
Also I take custom orders for pets useing Tracking. Easy quick money.
The best part about this type of charater is after the training costs our cost of living is very low. I generally only need to accually work for credits once every couple weeks, which allows for lots of spare time to quest and explore.
