Thread: PETITION for more dev attention to all profession forums.
Sign this if you think the Devs shouldgive more attention to all the profession forums, including this one:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Development&message.id=694317
well, I agree, but since the devs don't read the forums, they'll never see this petition. sucks to be the player base, doesn't it. (yeah, I'm a little bitter right now)
and didn't Q post something about 'they don't respond to petitions, because they don't want to encourage them'? nice to know they care.
Guys,
They do read the forums. They just don't all respond - the primary devs, like Green, etc. - aren't allowed to post on here anyway. But they do read them.
The best way to get your ideas to them is to give them to N'Raas, me and the other correspondents. We post them on the Correspondent's forum, which all of the Devs are REQUIRED to read. So don't worry - they are listening. Just because you don't see them, doesn't mean they aren't paying attention.

I appreciate that Brisc, but is it too much to ask for one of them to take the 20 seconds required to make a post that says "Hey guys, we know you're having some problems with issue X, we're sorry and we're working on it" ?
90% of all our anger and frustration could be quelled if they would just TALK to us.
Well the main reason I posted this is because there are several profession forums that have never seen a single dev post EVER.
Squad Leader forum just got its first one today, even their correspondent notes were not posted on their forum, and by the way the post they got today was basically to the effect of:
"What, you guys' abilities are broken? Are you guys sure?"
Now tell me, if you were a Squad Leader, would you not be upset about that?
I was going to take up that profession a while back, but decided not to due to the fact that NOTHING in it works properly, other than the defensive bonuses.
Delta, I agree with you that the devs most likely DO read the forums, but they are not doing a good job of letting their players know that this is the case. I can see why many people are angry and frustrated at their lack of presence on the profession forums.
My thought was, that, perhaps, with TH starting today, and supposedly going to be on the forums much of the time, perhaps we'd get some more direct feedback on the professions.

Heh, have you seen Q3PO's apology to the DE community? Gotta say I'm both surprised and impressed by it. They probably deserve it more than anyone though, DE's are (and have been for a long long time) bent, broken, burnt, and thoroughly busted.
Aramus,
You guys don't see it, but there is alot going on behind the scenes.
CaptainVemnox has had some posts answered by Green on the correspondent forums.
All of the correspondents have a meeting on Test Center tomorrow with the Devs.
Thunder just started today, so give him a bit of a chance to catch up. From what Q has told me and the other guys, we can expect a significantly larger amount of direct contact now that he is on board. So be patient. We've waited this long - we can wait a bit longer.
And remember, the reason why you have correspondents is to get your opinions to the Devs. They may not read everything posted on the boards, but they read everything we send them. And we read everything you send us.

Jal,
I know what you mean about the rifle issues. I'm seriously considering dropping Rifle and sticking with my Power Hammer. I was doing 3600 damage with it, and I only have one box filled beyond Novice Swordsman. ![]()
My alt character, Wilsc, is a DE, so I feel the pain there too.
The main reason why Player Cities, Mounts, Vehicles and the rest get so much attention is because they were promises made, and there are a lot of people waiting with baited breath for them- much more than are worried about if they finally fix the Imperial Hat bug. ![]()
