My guild and city are on Lok which is where I hunt mostly. Finally I can make Lok camo kits. I was trying it out this morning. It is awesome, way better than mask scent. I get shed loads of scout exp. just exploring the planet and I get exp from non-creature npc's also.
Though one group of pirates did shoot on me, camo did not drop and Icontinued to get exp. from thepirates and animals I subsequently passed. I am looking forward to hunting tonight and being able to camo the other members of the group.

Cool, I have taken a break from Ranger fora bit to try some different skills, and not up to date on the Ranger stuff. When did they put Lokian Domestic Meat in game to allow for Lok Camo's ?

It's nice that they got that working. Would have been nice to include it in the patch notes, though. The camo kits are especially useful for doctors--it keeps them alive so they can res you. Although it doesn't always work well for them so get ready to use rescue.

Camo Kits don't seem to provide much more in the way of camoflauge than just using Mask Scent. I've used both alot, on advanced and basic worlds, and for the cost of crafting them, I just don't see Camo Kits as having much use beyond the following:
Anyway, it's a shame because Camo Kits won't work against NPCs when they really should, have high resource costs for an arguable effectiveness versus base profession Mask Scent and only contribute to massive quick skill gains because Vehicles make travel on even the most advanced worlds shockingly safe.
- Being able to be applied to other people (a big bonus for groups)
- Having a set duration (a big bonus to vehicle travellers, those groups, resource merchants and BEs)

They didn't. The developers changed the requirement to Carnivore meat after we harassed them for months.
There was a thread noting the change forawhile before the publish.

"so camo kits work on NPCs again?"
No one has changed the system yet, if that's what you mean.
/conceal works in its own "special" (read: flaky)way against humanoids, as it did in the past.
