I have been thinking lately about trying toput upsome kind of wilderness outpost where Rangers/Scouts can come and do some trading. I know that many Rangers havevarying side proffesions, thatmany Rangers can benefit from (I know that there are not many of us out there).

But the idea I had in mind is something similar to the Mountain man Rendevouz (sp?), that are held annualy...but may be more of a permanent thing. I dont know how many of you are like me and despise going into town for anything unless I really, really need to. My thinking, (probably way off course here) is, instead of buying supplies here, wich is of course perfectly fine, is to trade resources.....say for instance, I have plenty of hide/bone/meat, but I need some metal for my stimpaks, so I trade with someone who needs hide/bone/meat buthas lots of metal etc.

The problem being here that, hide/bone/meat is the prevelant commodity...so there is not much demand for it among other Rangers/Scouts.

Has anyone else tried something like this, and if so how did it go?, or if anyone has any ideas on how to make something like this work, please tell your ideas..they are greatly appreciated.

Nice idea, but good point about the meat/bone/hide being the prevelant. I know myself, that after mastering ranger and rifleman theres only the points left for a bit of medic, but i'm sure theres some non-master rangers that know a bit of artisan.....are there?

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

There's something like that on Lowca.

The LRC (lowca ranger consortium) its a place where rangers dump off their organics, and sell them... grinders and people who need meat/hide/bone/ organic loot come to buy it.

problem is, is that merchant is a pain in the butt to level in.
