I am thinking on droping my longtime master CH status in favor of doing ranger instead. I am also currently a rifleman, is that a good weapon to use for ranger, or should i use somthing different?

Depends on what you wanna do with ranger

Master Ranger?
Get ready for more camping +10 to melee defense and +10 to ranged defense

Hunt Master/Master Tracker?
Very good skill line needs some tweaks but good
Creature To Harvest is nice
Btw it works for tracking babies Down very nice

Trap Master
More fun With traps 2 area traps, when they work + Rescue aka sacrifice, For when your willing to Rescue someone you dance and wave your hands, aggro goes from the victim to you. out of stupid or respect.

Wayfairing
Camo + Conceal
Camo kits currently require Floral parts, which have been removed on TC, Somewhat buggy right now vs maskscent, But does allow you creep up on npc's
+ terrian negoation bonuses aka faster crawl speed, currently it doesn't stack with rifle crawl speed but a quick unequip rifle crawl equip rifle works might fine, I even raced a rifleman on the cantina floor and lapped him twice

/conceal doesn't remove you from radar in pvp , It has suggested that it be brought up with the devs under the condtions that you either can't move, or can't attack. i forgot which one it was

Frontiering
Oh ya i forgot to mention camps and forage bonuses some really nice camps with fast heal rates, doesn't work with pets.

Im a 3-4-0-4 CH, Master Ranger 3-1-1-3 Rifleman, So as I get up more in rifle I'm dumping managment line for counter sniping line , i forgot to mention I LOVE RANGER.

And we have the best correspondant N'rass forgive me if i spelled it wrong

Well I have created another new character on another server, and have decided to pick up brawler as well as scout. I believe Im going to master both and possibly go on to Master Ranger, then Ill probably eventually drop Master Brawler for an Elite brawler profession (Im not really wanting to PVP with this character, as I have allready noticed that I probably would not last long with the combat system the way it is)

Anyways I was looking through the Ranger's skills and abilitiesand I found thatthe creature to-hit bonus only applies to ranged players ?! So Im wondering if there has been any talk about their being a to hit bonus implemented for brawler classes? (I personally do not like the ranged classes, so I have again chosen to go melee, as I have alot more fun with it.) To me it seems odd that only a ranged class should get the creature to hit bonus, as wouldnt it make more sense that AS LONG as you are a Ranger you get it with whatever class you are, whetheryou areranged or melee?

Sorry if this may have come up allready, I tried searching and reading through posts but could not find anything,I just dont have the time or patience to read through them all...

I haven't heard anything about fixing the creature to hit bonus being applied to melee. I'm not 100% on this, but I don't think anyone else has either....

There has been mention that we will be included in the combat revamp. This may be a just a token, throwing us a bone, so to speak. It might be a meaningful one. No one knows for sure. As it stands now Ranger only has /rescue and throwing traps to draw aggro for melee guys. In other words: not a whole lot. But thenthat +10 to hit creature bonus isn't really helping me much ether...

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

Allright thanks for the reply, I'll probably go ahead and continue with my melee profession to go along with Ranger, as from what ive been reading the creature to hit bonus doesnt make very much of a difference with the current state of the profession. Also I read the proposal that was sent to TH a long time ago, and it looks as though it was mentioned in there about the creature to hit bonus should be applied to both melee and ranged professions....

The creature to hit bonus is ineffictive compared to the accuracy bonus or your chosen combat profession, IMO.
