As I see it rangers are boring.....and the only really useful skill is areatrack......

What could make rangers cool?

Give them composite crossbows.

And explosive arrows.

Screw Traps.....Give them Bows,Crossbows,stun arrows that "stun" and do stun damage.....

Let Rangers shoot bolts from a crossbow, and make them deadly with it...

Remove the trap line or combine it.

Ya'll need some flavor......and crossbows and whatnot are the answer.....

darn...

all this time i thought rangers were cool because of the people who play them...

apparently i was wrong, flashy things that go boom make us cool

oh well, i guess im back to being a geek again.

Regarding the explosive arrows, I agree that boom = pretty damn cool.

Still, I can imagine commandos would be upset by it.

As a former Master Commando, I would agree with that. We would have been very upset. But I'm finally returning to the class I love: Ranger.

I would absolutely love a ranger specific weapon, either a trap launcher, high tech compound bow with explosive tips, or anything like that.

anything high speed, low drag and laser guided would be cool in my book

All I want to be is an elite hunter, and anything that helps me accomplish that goal is gold.

I am a Melee Ranger, but I would love the idea of having sort of crossbow. Maybe I wouldn't be as accurate with it as ranged Ranger, but I think it is a good idea and something I have been in favor of.

So while I like the enthusiasm, please respect the fact that hundreds of Rangers have been posting ideas for months now, many of which I think are cool. When claiming that you alone hold the keys the uber Ranger...you imply that all of us have no idea how to make our beloved proffession better. Please, I think many ideas are cool. yours is one of em. But Ranger is one of the brightest communityies around...ask Fred about math and you'll find out true dorkhood does exist. As such they've come up with a pleathora of good ideas that are cool.

I don't mean to flame, but that got under my skin.

In close, YES this idea is cool. I wanted to end on an positive note, since I don't like to go aggro on other's posts.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

make crossbows/bows fully functional on pets, and just dont make em that good....imagine a CH/ranger using bows/arrows ontop of a bantha or something.....that would be cool....but i guess im just saying, i think rangers should use bows and arrows just makes sense to me....

I think being invisible and then suddenly poping out of thin air when you stand up would be pretty cool too.... but that is just me
