Once you get to trapping 1 in ranger you can either trap voriter hunters on dantooine for close to 1000xp a pop or the kameriths on dathomir. I only used mesh wire traps since you can spam them and keep getting xp. Once i hit trapping 3 i went to dathomir and trapped some regular or enraged rancors for about 1200 to 1500 xp a pop still using mesh wire traps. In all the trapping line took me about 2 hours since i had to make traps, travel for training, and get into a solo group to get high levels mobs.

Glow-Juice traps and a Rancor from the Cave on Dathomir. That's what I did for the entire Ranger Trapping line. A Rancor will give you 1000 xp for each trap (might be a bit more, been a while since I did it).

And on that note, the only thing that will slow you down is capping your xp and having to go look for a trainer.

It's been a while since i've mastered scout, back then the fast way was tospam traps on newbie mobs then kill with ranged/melee once the last trap was thrown.

Whatare the best mobs and trapsforcompleting ranger trapping?

I'm also TKA if it matters.

What I did as a novice ranger was go to Dathomir and toss some traps at some baz nitches. Once I got to trapping II, I believe I was able to land traps on gnarled rancors which gave a lot of XP and got me to trapping IV and then got me to my trapping xp cap so quickly.
