I submit a few suggestions for new Ranger specific weapons that not only would give us enhanced hunting capabilities, but would also ensure a certain amout of enjoyment on those long hunts.
1. Nuna Launcher: I think it would be benefical not only to the suburb areas of major cities, but would also benefit rangers to be able to deploy a nuna launcher system.
I envision it more like an organic mortar platform. The idea of starting your attack run by firing a volley of small aerodynamic nuna's tosurround your
Intended prey appeals to me in a way that simple crossbows never could. The image of a nuna flying through the air at high velocities and bouncing
off the armored chest of say a rancor not only would prove momentarily distracting to the rancor, but would also be a source of continued amazement
for the community as a whole.
2. Crate O' Campsapult: Since camps seem to have lost their usefullness for anything other than RP purposes, I think it would be nice to hurl a crate of them at an target
As a means of initiation combat. Given the components that go into making a camp, a crate of 25 of them should be heavy enough to crush a
Kreetle. (Always a worthy goal.) Not only could this be used a first strike option, but it would also be nice if you could use this as a means to
setup a camp. Imagine loading the camp-apult with a camp and launch it 65m and seeing it deploying on landing. If that doesn't bring a smile to
your face, then you have deeper issues than the fact that your a Ranger.
3. Personalised Tags: This is not actually a weapons system, but the idea of being able to spray paint your tag on the back of a creature then sneak off makes me smile.
Imagine a 500m radius of spawns with "Tsal was here" sprayed on their backs.....niiiiiiice
4. Trap Juggling: This is also not a weapons system, but a means of alternative pay. I think that 2 rangers should be able to juggle traps back and forth between each other
for the enjoyment of fellow travels at the starports.
5: Fishing Net: This is the one serious offering for a bonus at Master Ranger. How about giving the Master Ranger a schematic to create a fishing net? This would allow
The Master Ranger to collect 3 to 5 fish at one time when properly utilised.
Hope you enjoy....

Krayt launcher would be impractical. First there is the problem of not enough Krayt spawns to adequetly arm your launcher. Also, their is prohibitive weight issue of carrying something of that size. I would suggest maybe an inplaced artillery piece though. unfortunantly, that would more than likely fall under the commando line though.

Ok how about a pooper scooper? We could sell it to CHs and others with pets and since pets dont poop in SWG (come to think, neither do players), it would be completely and utterly useless...in keeping with the rest of Ranger skills. Perfect!
Maybe they could devote a whole branch to pooper scoopers...beginning with single use ones, through standard ones, to the ultimate "high tech pooper scooper" (HTPS) with vacuum sucker, deodorizer, incinarator and wet wipes dispenser. The title granted would be, of course, "Sharp Scooper".

Well, the only problem is that each camp would need a seperate launcher. A catapault that can launch a HTFB, complete with crafting staions 64 meters away would easily send a basic camp kit far over the current limit.
Instead, why not go with what's broken and give us the "force sit" option. Seeing as how every Ranger can magically float off of thier chair, this should apply a "stunned" effect to every NPC, creature and non-Ranger player. This will allow us to help out in the GCW...
"okay men, their base is right over this ridge...why look at that it;s a camp...oh my god that Ranger is floating in mid air!! (You are stunned!)
At master Ranger, we get an additional effect when we disband the camp and remain floating. This dizzies all creatures, which obviously does nothing. This also applies a new effect "awed" to any NPC or player...i.e "You are Awed!" Being awed imparts no damage, no status changes and infact is only an icon like this =O above the persons' head. However, the developers believe that seeing this icon will indeed make the Ranger a difficult opponent. They should also consider having the person who is Awed have their facial expression change.
