Ranger Archive

Right now I'm a master swordsman. I thought it would be fun to pick up the tracking tree in ranger so that I can track some of the creatures in the RIS quest so I can solo them and get their loot. Anyone think this sounds like a good idea? How well does the track even work on a creature like peko peko albertres or GDK or even something like the gorax? Thanks in advance.

it pretty much finds it if its there... tracking is great it tracks outside ur field of view and if it doesnt pick any thing up, its not there. so tracking doesnt really fail only the game when it fails to spawn what you r looking for.

I'd have to say when hunting for rare creatures, its the luck of the draw. If its there, you'll find it, if not, try again later on.

I spent 3 days looking for an Albatross with no luck. On the other hand, it took me 15 mins to find a GDK. Heh, go figure...

Tracking isn't without it's flaws. It only tracks that which has spawned. More often than not, you can just stumble upon what you are looking for if you search long enoigh. It IS useful, and mere moments ago, I tracked the Giant Canyon Krayt my guild is fighting.
