Ok i got another Ranger question 
How cana Ranger know what creature gives us best OQ wooly hide?
E,g, i'm hunting in Endor, how do i know that? Just killing, harvesting and checking the harvest and try again by luck? Or there is another way?
(i'm not a Ranger yet :smileytongue
I'd like to know also what other skills do Rangers have please, besides foraging, trapping, tracking and running like hell 
I't seems that there are only few Rangers in my server and sometimes gets difficukt to get some anwsers.

www.swgcraft.com, Look at this web site it will give you a idea of what the best is at the time. For the other stuff take a look at the thread at the top of the Ranger page called "Ranger Links - Almost every question you would ask can be answered by these threads!!! ", its got a lot of good stuff in it.

I did a seach there for lokian leathely hide and this is the best result:

But my question is, what is the Gifae? An animal? I can't seem to find him in swgcreatures, if not, what is it then?

Or you could be a 'Real Ranger' and go to the planet and sample the resource for yourself...

Gifae is most likly just the name of the hide spawn not the creature it comes from. Just kill anything that gives Lokian Leathery Hide then look at the name of the hide, it should say Gifae.

Korrokk i'm not a novice Ranger yet, but i'm loving all this hunting stuff. This is all new to me, a real new world so i'm only asking some questions, but yes i guess a Ranger can go there and find it withouth no problem

Check swgcraft.com...oh, that's been said. Gifae is the name of the spawn, not the animal...wait, that's been said too. I guess I missed the boat on this one. Way to go guys!
Now that you know that you need/want Lokian Leathery Hide, you can go to swgcreatures.com and do an advanced search to have it tell you what animal drop leather hid on Lok.

To be a little more in-depth...
All resources, be they mined, harvested or "grown" have a Resource Type listed in ther examine window. This is the key field in the database, and has to be unique. They have an "interesting" naming system and this can be from 3 letters to about 30. Each resource is made this way so that the crafters have to really, really work at getting good products from these resources. Most suspend marketing until they have choice resources to make product runs from them (for items that can compete in the market as it is now), but each are identified, uniquely, from this name. You will note, as time passes, that this name changes (shifts) along with the stats, also listed in the examine window. Lokian Leathery hide from 3 weeks ago will not be the same as today.

When you /examine a creature, you can determine what type of hide and what type of meat the creature has (there are only two types of bones- animal and avian, so unless the creatre flies, it's animal bones). I recomend if you're first hunting, you make a list of all the creatures and put them together and list what type of materials the creatures have. That's an easy way to make sure you don't forget.
Now, as far as collecting a large amount of the same material, here are a few things you should know: Any creature on the same planet with the same type of hide (wooly, for instance) will have the same quality stuff. Two different animals with wooly hide will drop the same type of hide (so it stacks uup) but will drop it in different amounts. More difficult creatures (higher Creature Level) will provide more units of whatever you're harvesting. So the fastest way to get material is usually to kill the toughest creature with that resources that you can.
I believe if you check the Scout Forum there is a guide to hunting, as well as Fred's guide here on the Ranger forum. Either one of these will give you a basic overview of how to find and kill the creatures with the best materials.

Not so fast on the bone thing. Most creatures dont list bone on examine and its been a long running bug. And next a lot of wingless ground creatures have avian bone Voritors on Dant come to mind.

Anyway another question, what CA's/AA's or Bio clothe u usually buy for Rangers?
