.... use planet track and find the Hermit NPC'S/Boar easily ? Or wouldnt that work ?

Tracking works in a 1000 m radius and you can only see thing that are alrady spawned.

At tracking 2, you can track for NPCs (it is possible to track the mark NPCs with /areatrack). Also, the radius is 500m, not 100m....

BTW, Rangers can't track anyhting easily..see thestickied tread called "The Ins and Outs of Tracking" for more details.

Planet track is the skill all rangers get. We can use the terms at the shuttles and find out what planets are where. An amazing skill really. A while back I thought I felt a disturbance in the force, but it was my lunch of tacos and burritos repeating on me,

But honestly, you would think if you are going to be a profession, you would -

A. read the manual that came with the game

B. check out any updates online to said manual

C. read the forums and all the stickies before asking SAQs. (if you don't know what a SAQ is, it is the cousin to a FAQ)

Anyhow - give the short Ranger another beer, I am going back out to play in the weeds.
