I hunted for Rori avian a few months ago on Kauri. Spawn is very low or nonexistant on Rori, but I've found the best bet for finding anything is to stick around Restuss - within about 2000 meters. Unfortunately Vir Vurs and rasps are your only option, I believe, and I've never been able to pull them from mission lairs. It's like scraping meat off a sparrow.

Hi - I've found that if you hunt in the morning, right after server restart, the spawns are much, much better. For some reason, the spawns start drying up around 5 or 6 pm. EST in my experience. I imagine this is because it is "prime time" - at least on East coast servers, and the server has to dedicate more resources to players and stuff. This still doesn't explain, though, why the spawns don't come back later in the night.

At any rate, a good place for midnight vir vurs (drop 50 units or some each) is around the rebel outpost (there are other places too, but that's a trade secret :smileyvery-happy. Also, If there are not a lot of creatures spawning, running missions in an area will jump start the spawn system.

Not to mention they squeak. /shudder After 10k of aviank meat you start hearing them in your dreams.

I am haveing the same problems on starsider this is nuts! The best avian to spawn in a long time an it has to be on rori? gezzz.

Well I meant that the vir vurs squeak (or maybe "call" is more descriptive), but you are right. The noises rasps make is also very recognizable... and usually come in packs. /shiver That was always my #1 piece of advice to new players. Don't shoot the rasps. Their whole family will come after you.
