Okeydoke guys, I'm in Ranger heaven.
I remember when i first mastered Ranger and almost straight away I decided I'd be a supplier to a select few specific doctors rather than trade on the open market. For a few months I'd chase Avian and Herbivore meat around the galaxy, though for the last month I was growing tired of it and it had just been a bare minimum effort really.
When my main doctor retired about a month and a half ago I gave up harvesting and more or less haven't done any since. My favourite hunting ground by far is Rancor Valley (The Sarlaac POI on Dathomir) and I go there a lot. Pick up whatever meat or hide is about and give it away to people i know.
Well...
This is what spawned today on Chimaera...
DATHOMIRIAN CARNIVORE MEAT
Overall Quality: 989
Potential Energy: 993
Decay Resistance: 905
Flavour: 318
What can I say... my first powerharvest in a long while and it was simply awesome, and that has got to be the best spawn I've ever seen.
Ah, it sucks being a ranger doesn't it
*hums happily and goes off into the night to bash Rancors*

Thats the kind of harvest you take 50% and put away for 6 months from now when its dried up

I have a new ranger on Chimaera and was on Dath last night racking up scout xp and getting a load of this....all static spawns seem to have been bled dry so ended up running missions. Its a shame as I loot 100 units more when im solo, but I need the group to roll the missions.
Joining a group just to get the missions is a pain to do so usually just have to put up with the reduced harvest.

Join a solo group. Get the missions. Go off to hunt. Leave the group and harvest. Return to town. Join the next solo group. Rinse and repeat.
Bordering on naughty, but it works.

Might try something else and have my alt as the group leader and invite people as I go along...then easier to get back in. Hmm, a cunning plan forms.
