1. Black Sun... still very hard to find even as a tracker, right?

2. Jedi Knight Trials : Steigralsadawdlawd Prowlers and Graul Maurader are both found on Yavin 4... right? Impossible to find unless they're after server reset... right?

3. Peko Peko Albatross : Rumor has it they spawn in swamps on Naboo or in the NE corner by Kaadara... anyone confirm/deny?

4. Kimos and Krayts .... I hear Kimos spawn all over that volcano area on Lok.... true?

1. No, I fall all over these guys. I can't swing a dead cat somedays without finding these clowns.

2. Not impossible, but realize that they are camped by Jedi wannabes. They spawn and are taken down almost immediately. Longer respawn times make them seem very rare. Thank the campers.

3. Peko Albs. Not rare, just a pain to kill. NW of Theed on the coast, 3 spawn regulary there.

4. Kimos - which kind. I get tired of tripping over these too. Krayts - heavily camped by Jedi wannabes. Good luck finding one and engaging without drawing a crowd.

Campers, the real reason I want to be a Jedi. /sarcasm off

Enraged Kimos are the ones required by the trials. Generally, make a 2000 meter circle around the reclusive gurk king spawn point, its generally empty and they spawn fairly regularly there.

Peko Albs are easy to tank and kill as a rifle/ranger. I took one down and its subsequent3 respawns to other day. Just equip a good DRX and spam headshot and your sorted, the mind goes down in no time at all.

a 550 max or there abouts drx is what your looking for.

Owen, easy for you to say being a Rifleman... but it sucks for a TKM

Be warned, if all you do is kinetic dmg, the Peko Peko Albatross will laugh his ass off when you try to tickle him (it has 100% kinetic resist). Other than that, yeah, they're very easy. If only we had a different kind of dmg VKs...

Graul Marauders are in fact in Dantooine, and people pay up to 3 million for a confirmed Waypoint that leads to these guys.

Enraged Kimos might be the ones needed for Jedi, but the ones people seek out the most are usually Giant Dune Kimogila, since they have a "slight" chance of dropping a GDK Scale, which is used for RIS armor. Btw, you might also be aware already that Peko Peko Albatross drop Feathers, which are used for RIS armor segments.

For Krayts, be warned that there is a quest people get at Entha for the Scythe Schematics, that will spawn a Canyon Krayt that will NOT drop any loot, just to guard the scythe schematic. The Giant Canyon Krayt is the one Jedi pay up to a mill or so to track down, at lest in the "old" days.

Hope that helps.

Yeah mate but i did say easy being a rifleman hehe

I know how difficult it is for other professions and easy for others. For example we can kill NS stalkers, spell weavers and protectors, thats a trade off for benefits in other areas.

Not all professions can kill the same things to the same effect, and from what ive read in the TK forums, most users dont want another weapon and the fact they have to use one at all causes them greif.

TKs shouldnt have to rely on VKs to be powerfull, they shouldnt have to use a weapon at all, hense unarmed combat.

I agree that nothing should be 100% protected, however i also believe that some professions should have distinct roles, my personaly view of a tk is a tank (taking less damage than most and avoiding damage). Whether it lives up to this view or not isnt what im saying, its just how i think it should be.

Characters not having roles in a group is the main problem with swg as i see it.

Oh, I totally agree with you, and my comment wasn't really a whine or anything against you hehe. I too believe that every profession should have a "reason to exist" and a role in a group. I come from 2 and a half years of playing DAOC, and the roles were very clearly defined, for the most part.

Nothing should have 100% resist, unless it was a legendary mob that REQUIRED a group to kill, and only if the profession that uses that kind of damage had an alternative (for example, using electricity when the acid resist is 100%). I don't really mind fighting mobs with 80-90% kinetic resist... they'll go down, eventually.

However, a Peko Peko Albatross is not a legendary mob AFAIK, and I dont's see how a group is required to kill one (or maybe the devs intended it to be a group encounter?).

Anyway, that is that. Maybe this isn't the right place for this because it involves another profession, but maybe we can "make" it belong here if we discuss it as a hunting style?
