Thread: Making Camps useful.. An Idea

After reading and discussing the Environmental effects with Owen I had an epiphany! Something I hadnt seen before in any posts.
Buffs timers should slow in camps!
High Tech Field Base - Timer slows by 90% (Perhaps Master Ranger gives 90 and Frontiering 4 gets 80?)
Field Base - Timer slows by 70%
High Quality Camp - Timer slows by 50%
Improved Camp - Timer slows by 30%
Multiperson Camp - Timer slows by 10%
Basic Camp - No effect on buff duration
This would allow using environmental effects of sandstorms and monsoons without hindering the time players are using on buffs. I would love to have Master Ranger again and HTFB if this idea was implemented. Also, just for kicks we could include poison, disease and bleeding durations lowering when in camps. Similar to TKM but maybe a bit slower.

LoL yes. Its already been suggested a number of times. And its still a good idea. So far its the best idea to make camps worthwhile.

CRap! lol.. I never read it I guess... hehe..
I just dont see any drawbacks to implementing it. I can understand why it would be good to put it in but I wonder why devs wouldnt do it. Besides being too busy.. lol

Probably best to just make it dependent on the healing mod of the camp (makes coding easier). You will have to make sure that fighting from a camp does not give the same effect, though.
