Thread: Funny thing happened to me on my way to.....
Infinity, I went out the back of the SP, hit the first ridge of hills and just worked my way round anticlockwise at about 600m from the SP till I hit the river, then doubled back. Loads of them on the plain and up on the ridges. Got my quota off two wild spawns.
Bria? Well, I got the impression I was going to have probs when I landed at the SP and there were +10 jedi and hordes of players crowding the terms to get gurk missions. Headed out back of the SP, did the same patter, nada, just gurk, gurk, gurk. Headed out a little more, not even the pharples were spawning. Just gurks, gurks, gurks.
Eventually stumbled over one spawn, got as many out of it as I could, then waited 20 minutes for it respawning. Took a break, headed to the v. south of the map, somebody in planet chat told me ther ewas a spawn near his harvies. Doh, me and half the server headed south, lol. In the end it took a couple of days to get the quota.
And, yup, only ever see tham as wild spawns.
It's a pain finding em, but gotta take a challenge sometimes. Depending on your mood, I've come to reason with myself, the price of tracking varies, heh. From the ole' "whatever you want" to the "1 mil or I'm going to sleep"
I always track for free, although I will accept tips
"Anything yet?"
yeah buddy, I found the (insert whateveritis you are looking for here) and to screw you over totally I am taking them out myself.
Two anything yets and I get lagged all to hell, have LD problems, my router is acting up, my butt hurts, my dog needs to be let out, my pizza is here, phone... you get the idea yet?
I tell anyone I track for, shut up and ride... when I find it you will be the second to know.
JB
why yes, I found the (whatever) and I kilt it deader than dead just for fun

So here I was sitting there at the Lok starport and like a noob left my Master Ranger title on, then whamo! 2 requests at once to help these CL 44 guys look for some snorbals to go with some type of quest. They were kind and asked if I was busy which I wasn't and I said I would be more than happy to help them out. One guy asked me how much so I threw a bone out there and said whatever you want to pay me (hey I was bored), besides how hard could it be to find snorbals on Lok, they are all over the place right? HA! What a mess, I spent a few hours looking all over, asked alot of people, covered alot of ground, saw more gurks than I care to mention. 10 minutes into the looking one guy says 'Anything yet?'. I politely tell him not yet still looking. Then another guy messages me and asks me if I am looking for Snorbals. He tells me they are spawning at some location (can't remember) So I head there only to find nothing, I track.......nothin.....so after an hour or so and many more 'Anything yet' tells I get a guy telling me they are on the mission terminal for CL 44-46. I dunno, I just found it odd that 2 CL 44 guys never checked the terminals and I spent a good few hours lookin all over hell and creation for those stupid animals.... anyway live and learn I guess. LOL
You just listen to the ol' Pork Chop Express an' take his advice on a dark and stormy night when some wild-eyed eight-foot tall maniac grabs your neck an' taps the back of your favorite head up against a barroom wall. An' he looks you crooked in the eye an' he asks if you've paid your dues. You look right back at that big sucker an' remember what Jack Burton always says at times like that
Very funny post...and a great sig.
By the way ' Its all in the reflexes'
/agree
My particular favourite Jack Burtonisms are (and they still make me chuckle thinking about them):
"Ok, you people sit tight, stay calm and keep the home fires burning. If we're not back by breakfast... call the president."
"Ready? I was BORN ready."
"Everybody relax, I'm here."
