It's time for me to call it a day, as a Ranger, and as a member of this forum community.
There was a time when a visitor to the ranger forum would see what Rangers wanted themselves to be in this game. It was that attitude that first led me to take Ranger as a profession.
Now, however, a visitor to this forum is almost guaranteed to leave with the impression that Ranger has always sucked, and will always suck.
It's come to the point now, where I can predict on any given evening what I will read if I log into this forum. One post announcing someone new has joined the ranger community. Possibly one random silly post (usually one every 4 days or so anymore). There will also be about 4 post complaining about Jedi, Jedi fixes, and lack of Ranger fixes.
As a final point, I have just recently unlocked my own Jedi and 'seen the other side'. I'll just say this: Of the people on my friends list, the four that I would go to with any question, or request for help, in this game are all Jedi. I myself stive to be just as broadbased in my game knowledge, and just as open with my assistence as they are. Unfortunately, in this particular arena, my friends and I are nothing more than immature whiners who get fixes to their profession by virtue of constant complaining.
There are many of you who have been very helpful to me, and to many others, through this forum and it's assosciated in game community. I haven't forgotten that, and I greatly appreciate it. I sincerely hope that you guys get the developer attention you have wanted and deserved for so long now. Hopefully that will provide a boost in morale around here. Until that time comes, I bid you farewell and good hunting.

I wish you good luck. However I don't understand this statement:

I assume you are implying that now that you have unlocked Jedi you have a guilt by association to said whiners? If so, I think you have been around long enough to know that only those which know nothing about someone make such assumptions about any single individual. And that it is the immature that post such nonsense without knowledge of the person they think they are flaming. Honestly I don't think that the posters in this section of the forum fall into that catagory except a few minor trolls. Personally I prefer to have people who have moved on to other professions that have been in my profession come back periodically and give some outside insight into matters of the profession as it can often open one's awareness.
However, should you choose to not return, good luck finding meaningful posts in the Jedi forum.

I completely agree with the orginal poster. It used to be that the focus of this forum was how to put our admittedly rather limited skillset to the best use - how to make the best use with what we had -- but now 90% of the posts on this forum seem to be focused on other professions. It has gotten so bad lately that if a dev posts to another profession's forum, you can be sure that there will be a temper-tantrum post here complaining about that within the hour.
I'm not sure what these posters are trying to accomplish - Tiggs has posted over and over and over again that devs will not respond such posts - but what they've done is lower the discourse level here so much that a lot of our old-time, great posters don't feel that this forum is worth their time anymore. I myself never was a great poster, but I'm increasingly inclined to agree with them - I don't know, but I would much rather spend my time in game as a ranger than here reading jealous post after jealous post by entitled forum children who are so jealous of everyone else's toys that they can't even take the time to appreciate their own.
