I find I'm examining my pets way too frequently to see what kind of resource I could harvest off of them if I ever got into a pinch.

never harvest your pets. That's a big no no. well unless they are of the leeeeezard type and can grow back what you took.

This is a funny thread.

Though I wasn't aware you could harvest your pets. That just seems kinda cruel in a way if you can.

Ok, good. Was worried for a second. I gave up CH and was wondering what to do with the pets. I'm ashamed to say I was seriously thinking about the harvesting if we could.

You can't. I just think it's funny that the first thing I happen to look at when examining my pets is what resource it drops. LOL.
actually... way back in the day, this was possible...
when a CH "released" (became "store") their pet, it actually un-tamed the pet... i remember one day, releasing a huf dun on naboo just to see what would happen when i harvested it... turns out, i got nabooian meat off of it rather than talusian...
i was really looking forward to the day when i could tame rancors, bring them to theed and release them... i was gonna get 12 or so and just have them all run wild in the town... /sniff... too bad they changed that before i could get good enough...
