Thread: A simple request for devs -- Foraging

Is there any way to add a couple items to forage? I'd love to find something that would cure some of that annoying poison that creatures like Choku throw at you. When traveling so far and hunting without buffs...that poison or disease can spoil a solo trip. Just add some weed, root, or flower that will cure that.

Thank you.

You're not the first to bring this up, and rightly so

Forage hasn't gotten any attention since beta. It's almost as useless as medical forage, even for a Master Ranger.

Foraged items that could, if not heal, then at least decrease poison and disease would be nice.

Bump up the stats on foraged items would also help and, of course, reduce the filling on those items for heavens sake. I can eat an entire meal and drink brandy like no tomorrow but a single onion makes me want to barf

Including foraged items when crafting traps would also be neat. Experiment a bit and get the states to stick longer, or maybe even allow traps combined with the right foraged itmes to apply multiple states and combos, like KD+Dizzy, not that it would be of much use to us 'master creature hunters' but I'm sure we can think of better ones, maybe stun+action bleed+slow movement

Are you guys serious? Marog Melons are the most exploited item yet. Increasing foraging would really unbalance things. Why do you think you only start out with one as a noob?

Nerf Melons!

On a more serious note I just started a char on TC and as a noob fencer I was able to take on a Treasure map gang and loot some items. One armor attachment for +3 Pistol accuracy while moving and +3 Foraging! Woot! lol.... Talk about slightly disappointed.

There should really be some way for us to forage items to slow disease/poison or increase recovery time.
