I was at the Krayt grave yard and flew past some guy who was merrily shooting Krayts by him self. Can Rangers do this and how ?

He was probably a rifleman as well. Riflemen get an attack called concealshot, which lets them attack without being attacked back(until they miss or the mob wanders too close of course). It is however, a rather low damage attack, so chances are someone will swoop in and steal the krayt long before the guy can kill it.

On my server at least, the graveyard is permacamped.

its our little secret

nope, generally only combat stacked characters can solo krayts... we have way too many points invested in ranger/ scout to stand toe to toe with a krayt dragon.

however, we can harvest them like crazy (our traps rarely, if ever, work on them anyway)

I am a master Rifleman/Ranger and I have been able to do it but only once due to others coming in a taking it down. I did use conceal shot but it does take forever.

I've heard of it being done, but like Agon said, we have to many points invested in Scout / Ranger to be truely effective in soloing dragons. But Rifle is definitly a great complement to the Ranger profession

With full doc and entertainer buffs, my full set of 80% kenetic Comp., brandy, canape and synthsteak I am able to handle a regular and Juve. Krayt at once pretty effectively. But like everyone knows, if 2 or more folks show up it WILL be KS'd away from me. That's just the "danger" we face trying to take them on solo.

TKM/Commando is a nice combination I believe for soloing Krayts, etc.

The question was could a Ranger do it. That template has little room in it for any rangering.

Last night I and two guildies did the Scythe Schematic mission that spawnsa Canyon Krayt.

The one guy whose buffs wore off before we started was dead first. He just logged and wewent on. I am a Master Rifleman and my other buddy was a Master Rifleman Fencer 0-4-0-0- I think. Granted he had a really nice set of composite on he tanked that damn thing for nearly an hour. I did get killed at one point and came back to shoot from a distance. We were able to finish it off pretty nicely. I couldnt believe that a 0-4-0-0 Fencer could tank that way. It was incredible.

I think after I finish Chef I am going Fencer.
