The other day I was on Tatoonie collecting bone for someone.

A newer player comes up to ma and asked me. "Doesn't is suck to be a Ranger?"

Well I had just completed an area track and spotted some Mountain Squill so I walk towards teh Mountain Squill with Mask Scent up and talking to this guy why I like being a ranger.

We get close enough that the Squill notices my "new friend" and aggros on him as I standby and watch.

Smack and a Whack and he is 'capped.

He sends me a tell. "Why didn't you do anything?"

I reply "Well I am a Master Ranger it didn't attack me and you didn't last long enough to ask me for help."

I then added in "Thats why I like being a Master Ranger I can do the same thing with Rancors when they charge after you. I can watch or I can help its my choice."

As I walked away from this person I had the thought I should heal him right next to the squill and let him get nailed again. Instead I shot the squill in the head and harvested the bone and walked away leaving him asking which way back to town? Please Help! Please!

or.... 'Why Master Ranger isn't necesary'.

Mask Scent doesn't improve after Master Scout.

Sorry, I know we're not suppose to be negative in this forum but I had to say it

Now if you applied Camo to him and walked him through the Squills, and by some remote chance he noticed that he wasn't being agro'd.... then you could have said 'and that's why I like being Master Ranger', but really that'd just be kinda sad

I get a sick sense of satisfaction when I put up a high tech field base south of coronet in the sea of scout-hologrinders in their tiny little excuses for tents. I also like the fact that people enter my base and sit down for a chat, everyone impressed.

Too bad I am a hologrinder also. But I promise you, after publish 9 I will return to the ranger proffession. It's my favourite of the 24 I've tried so far. I love it.

Nice. Ranger and Rifleman were the first elite profs i tried and i loved them. But back then (sept/oct) i didnt know better to collect meat to sell, lol. Long live the Ranger, and the Antarian Rangers!
