I'v been on SWG since that game came out. I really thought ranger was where I needed to be. Fought my way up the chain and finally made Master. I'v kept it while I'v watched my friends mixing and matching to be able to solo creatures and get good loot. I figured "Hey, eventually something will show up to make the skill point cost worth it". Traps that don't work....Camps that are worthless. (They screwed us when they allowed pets to be called without a camp) Camo that might as well be Johnson's baby powder for all it's effectivness. What I want to know is, is there anything that has been said within the last month by the Dev's that gives us reason to hold on to this profession? Will we finally be able to harvest at the rate we should or just like a Master Scout on a cappocino rush? Will we get traps that work (that where promised a long while back.) Will we finally have a use for camps? I want to hold on to this profession. I want to be optimistic, but there comes a point when you have to realise that any change may be another year away. Does holding the title of master ranger justifiy not using the skill points in another profession that will be of benefit till they fix us? This isn't intended as a whine, rant or Poor US thread. I just want to honestly have a time frame given to us on how long before our concerns are addressed.

Fixing Jedi.....grreat

Fixing DE...equally as good.

How about rangers for a change. There are only a few of us. You could atleast fix our traps. That would probably shut us up for atleast a month or 2.

Everything takes time I realise. Alot to program in this game. Things needed to be fixed before launch...blah blah blah. Wether or not they realise it, they are destroying the

confidence in this profession as anything other than a skill point sink. Time frame!!! We atleast deserve a time frame for the money we invest in this game month after month. Is it stupid to keep harping on it when we can just go to another profession or go join another MMOG?..probably. But in the end, it comes down to patience and confidence. Being confident enough in the belief that the developers realise the problems with the class and know they need to address them, then being patient enought to allow them the time to fix them. But the first part of confidence is knowledge and communication. Knowledge that they understand and communication about their expected time frames etc. What if you bring in ships and there is noone there to fly them? What if you fix the harvesting rates and there is noone there to harvest them? Give us a time and frame and do your best to stick to it.

The idea of new content is great. Space as a new frontier..bring it on. But have some respect for those that have been here from the beginning waiting patiently for our turn in the sun.

Well... ive found that I can keep master ranger and ive been messing around with mastering other things...like Teras Kasi master and Pike master.....there are enough point to master ranger and master a good many of the combat proffesions. When I wasTk master and Master ranger there was nothing in ther PvE i couldnt take on. my favorite was to eat some vegash, go to Dathomir and hunt engraged rancor...get 4 of them on me at once, kill them all and harvest MASS meat...

Just skip this post. I'm just feeling alittle bitter at the moment.

I should have mentioned that I am a Master Rifleman. Nothing wrong with the combat side I am working. Just wondering what reason I have for being a Master Ranger as opposed to a Master Scout? We are not really getting any benefit from the class that makes the skill point usage worth carrying on. Like I said, just bitter at the moment. You guys really don't need to hear this. It's the same arguments and bad feelings that have been posted here before. I agree that mostly, this forum comports itself with a certain amount of grace and I do not wish to take away from that.

I gave up master ranger a month ago and just this weekend finished needing the skill points so I gave up novice scout too. Haven't been without any scout since launch, and I haven't been without Master Ranger since October. I figure I've done it before, I can get ranger back fairly readily. But I couldn't sit by the wayside and wait anymore, I needed to try other things.
