Yeah, I know what you mean. I think its like listening to a radio presenter that you finally see a picture off, they never look like the mental picture that you had of them. I have JB Matt pictured as a sort of Danny Devito character for example, Fred Skinner is Grizley Adams in my head, and Calc, well I think that "Mr Graham" my old maths teacher springs to mind on occasions

I live in North Carolina (a California Native but married a NC girl) I know I wont be going...I like you guys....but the other people give me hives....maybe thats why im a ranger
I dont see JBMat as a Devito-esque character... I see him wearing a lot of green and a familiar look of understanding when we "hurry up and wait".
I havent really thought about what anyone looks like....
My wife says I look like a cross between Kiefer Sutherland and Fester Adams...(whatever that means)

I had thought to go, as I live in San Diego, and Anihiem is not a far drive for me. The thought to go in character and ask the Dev's whats going on with our profession is very tempting. Then I thought would i really enjoy being there, all dreese up and probably nobody even noticeing anyways. Nawww.
So I think I will stay home and enjoy the company and friends I have at home instead.
Beside I have grown accostumed to the Lizards, Fish, and Bears that i have met on SWG and could not see to disspell the image I already have
