I've heard rumors of Ranger Base Camps being able to house a turret. Now I havent been able to try this yet, cause Chilastra's servers like to go down. But, has someone tried this?? If so, what turrets work? Which ones dont work? I think in a PVP format, we may actually have a use for a ranger!! Set up a field for battle, and plop down a base camp and through down a turret! Now that we can manually control them,,,,it would be carnage!!!

Please help us out!!

An overt Ranger can use the higher camps to purchase faction items, to include turrets. If said Ranger has a lot or so left, and the area will allow it, you can drop a turret on your camp. Just don't fight, or the camp goes home to mommy.

Been like this forever. Easier just to drop a turret, hide behind it and use a med droid tho.

What I don't know if controlling the turret counts as fighting. I bet you will be enaged and the camp goes south once you are, tho I am not gonna try this out.

Wowzers, I didn't know this. I mean -- I knew that I could buy faction perks from my leaky-but-wonderful megacamp, but I didn't know I could poop a turret, too!

I may be a Master Ranger, but I have much to learn of the ways of the worlds.

one of the neater things of beingcamping as a ranger is, as JB said, setting up aFB as an overt member of your faction... it appears on the planetary map under the heading of your faction: if you are a rebel, there will bea rebel tag on the map available to all members of the rebel alliance, when they open it your camp will be listed as "<your name>'s camp"...

i think the ability to drop a turret isn't ranger specific... is that what you meant JB, anyone can drop one and camps aren't necessary for it?

Yeah, anyone with a turret can drop one anyplace they are authorized to do so. Of course, in cities you get into zoning issues and metropolitan areas for NPC cities - y'all know the deal.

It's not a new trick Arriviste, your PAX buddys have been doing it for a while, til they figured out we figured out the work around on the "old drop a turret and heal with averys droid trick". Tactics over silly tricks every time.

If I'm not mistaken, purchases from the HTFB cost more then from a normal recruiter.
