Okay, I'm here thinking of different weapon combinations to use. I like Pistols, Two-Handed Weapons, and Polearms. All three of them do different HAM damage. Here is what I'm looking at:
1. Rifles/Two-Handed Weapons - both affect the mind. I came across this while playing a Swordsman and my biggest gripe was that against higher-level ranged targets, they would beat me down with their firearms as I tried to run up to them to beat them back down. Losing half your health this way isn't fun, especially when I'm pretty anti-armor. What I'm contemplating is taking Rifles 4 in Marksman and taking Master Swordsman. You could easily come up to an enemy, crouch, hit them with a Mind Shot and some Head Shots, and when they decide to get up on you switch weapons and finish them off. The Laser Rifle and Scythe being the weapons of choice here.
2. Pistols/One-Handed Weapons - the problem here is that taking Fencer or Pistoleer have their bonuses and drawbacks. As a Fencer you get the Stun Baton, and since very little has resistances to Stun, this is one of the best weapons in the game to have. The drawbacks is the amount of damage. As a Pistoleer you get a lot of the same bonuses as a Fencer gets, but again, little damage can hurt you. You're saved by your fast attack speed and Dodge skill. Both of these professions attack the Health pool. My method would be to take Novice Fencer to get the Stun Baton and then concentrate on Pistoleer. The Scout Blaster and Stun Baton being my weapons of choice here.
3. Carbines/Polearms - attacks the Action pool, and one of the more unique combos to me. It's both very good and very bad. First, most of the Carbineer special attacks take up massive HAM costs, but the devs are supposedly working on that issue. Pikemen hit hard but have little accuracy. But on the flipside they're one of the only elite classes with a real Knockdown attack. Add to that the hope that someday they add the Force Pike to Pikeman(the pikes used by the Emperor's Royal Guards), and it could be very promising. But only if they fix the HAM costs. The EE3 Carbine and the Long Vibroaxe being my choices here.
What's my point? Well to me it would make more sense to beat them down from a distance and then finish them off up close. Has anyone else toyed with this? Any success? Maybe I'm bored but I gotta have something new to toy with heheh.

Good post.
The only bad thing is no defensive/offensive stacking anymore. Pistoleer/Fencers were about untouchable at one point.
Each combination has it's pluses and minuses. The "best" weapons to cause damage inflict low damages (as in stun).
Gonna have to think about this.
One question - scout blaster? Ok, fast but --- get a decent FW sliced and you get more damage and almost as much speed. A featherweight even adds some bonuses. I use my scout to take down lairs, saves on the better weapons.
