The Outdoorsman is the proposal that, at one point defined the vision of many Rangers. Taking the ideas from many sources and being foresighted enough to include other proffesssions into a Ranger proposal, the Ranger correspondant at the time, NRass, gave hope to many Rangers who were feeling left out as many other proffessions were recieving skills or schematics that negatively affected the Ranger community.

Since then, Rangers have continued to generate good ideas for their proffession in the hopes of recieving some word about our skills. Sadly, we are again seeing many Rangers becoming disheartened. However, many have simply become more determined to generate good ideas. This proposal, modeled after the Original Outdoorsman, seeks to follow in the footsteps of its' predecessor in many ways. It, too, has drawn upon the collective minds of the Ranger and it too seeks to restore some hope to the Ranger community.

This document would not be possible without the collective minds of Rangers new and old, however there are a few people whose ideas and wisdom have made this all the mroe possible, and I'd like to thank Calculus_Entropy, Fred Skinner, AgonThalia, Owen-Lars, SprinkBok, Fodder, Vorpaks, ShyGirl, SquidWalker, Odajja, JBMat and anyone and anyone who has ever contributed an idea, whether it was new or old, good or bad, to the Ranger forum. This proposal is a piece of me, and I hope it can be a beacon for you, the way the Original was for me.

The Original Outdoorsman

Again, thanks go out to all of the Rangers and Rangers-in-training who have made the Ranger forum a model of decorum and idea-generating. I feel privilaged to be counted among the ranks of the Rangers, and I hope that I can make others feel as excited about Ranger-dom as I am. For those of you not mentioned by name, please forgive me and send me a personal mail, I wish to name as manny of you as possible, as this document belongs to all of us.

Thank you for reading.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

My personal thoughts....

1. Mission terminals in camps.

2. Vehicles don't decay or decay slower when parked in camps.

3. Doctors should be able to buff faster.

4. A twelve item storage module (maybe as high as 20).

1. Mission terminals in camps.
-I keep going back and and forth in my head on this one. How about instead of money missions it would be a terminal that would spawn the creatures instead? This might be easier to implement then /track. If it was standard money missions i could see guild get one person to dabble just enough(even with the big point cost or using an alt) to get to do this.

2. Vehicles don't decay or decay slower when parked in camps.
- I wonder if this is even possible. But whats your logic on this one? That theres some kind of maintence module in an HTFB?

3. Doctors should be able to buff faster.
-They do pretty well now why are you looking for this?

4. A twelve item storage module (maybe as high as 20).
-As soon as something like this happens it takes a lot. And you can make droids that hold 10 or so.

2. I use vehicles a LOT. I'm constantly dropping creds into my vehicles. Constantly. This is a actually a minor thought.

3. I travel with a non-whoring doctor. Not the best buffs and not the best stuff, and it seems to take forever for us to buff/rebuff. Maybe it's just me...

4. Good point.

I'll settle for the portable mission terminal though.

On 3 i would almost say it should. But i understand your problem with it. There was a camping thread awhile back with all the modules we wanted for our camps and one was a medical module
