I know this is not an available title but some of you would definately qualify for it if it existed. So I am compelled to ask you, is there any advantages to using different types of baits while fishing?

I heard there is. I think worms are the best. Never saw any difference though.
Though you do catch more fish when using fresh bait.

First off, the title clearly should be Master Baiter. Any other title does not give this great skill enough glory. The pain and pleasure of properly mastering baiting deserves a worthy title.
As for the fish bait, I have noticed no difference from the different types of bait. It might be there but it is likely to be minimal. My personal recommendation is to forage a bit of bait and then just use chum. You should get enough chum bait from the first set of foraged bait to never need to forage it again. That saves time. Eventually, you'll probably get to the point where keeping any type of bait with less than 5 uses is a waste of inventory space.

I figured I would save you all the trouble. It could have gone a lot worse if I didn't difuse it immediately. Just think what would have happened if a Tailor got to it first....

I agree, it sounds better than Bait Master, which is what we are, the way /maskscent and /conceal work. All we do is make the animals mad and they want to eat us.
Sometimes I feel like a 5 cent feeder fish.
