Has anyone been having trouble with getting your traps stuck in the ground after they go off? This has no negitive effects on the gameplay that i have noticed but it just looks really weird to be harvesting after a round of fighting and seeing the trap you just used in the ground.

wierd? That would be awsome to see. It would give it a realiztic feel. In fact I think this should happen all the time.

It happens to me on occassion. It's especially fun when the noise makers don't happen to be the right size and it looks like you've turned into Donkey Kong at a frat house during a keg party.

I see this all the time. It is especially impressive when you toss a bunch of traps at a stationary target, as the traps will pile up into funky sculptures.

What it is ... a throwback to earlier times.

Initially when we tossed traps, you could actually see them laying on the ground, even after the lair was dead. Some people whined, and the traps were made to be fire and evaporate. Something changed I guess.

Sorta cool to see traps scattered hither and yon after a decent fight. Evidence that a Scout/Ranger was in the area at the very least.

They do poof after a short time. Unlike NPCs who now poof the second you lootall them.

i was messing around with some friends on dant last night and the area was littered with traps and white squares on the mini map. Perhaps the lag had something to do with it i dont know but it was prety fun walking around the place with tonnes of used phaescene traps lying around

NPC grenades (and presumably PC grendaes) stick around for a while too...how about CM ranged meds? Perhaps it is tied to the throwing action?

CM meds are just glowing orbs of... let's call it love that do not stick around. The area poison/disease packs disperse intoa cloud. The single packs just kind of poof on their targets. The ranged and area stims have different looks, but still do not hang around. The thrower does though. For about four seconds you will find him exactly where he was when he first threw the pack. I believe you Rangers suffer the same problem.

I dont mind that they are still around after a battle as much as the fact that they show up on my radar as white dots.

Yeah, throw traps in a dungeon, see how popular that makes you

Back in 't'old days, when I were but a novice scout, I went to the squill caves with some guildies. Battered them squill with furious CDEF fire and trap after trap after trap... Then had to put up with the rest of the group screaming blue murder at me for making it hard to find the MagSeals.

You can be creative with it too, but it probably creates halacious lag somewhere. Try standing in a nest of low level aggroed critters. Nuna or somesuch. Throw traps in a circle. No reason, just something to do.

/wonder if you could write your name...
